I am raising some baby kittens right now as well. Your pictures give me major hope for when I eventually introduce them to my parents' labs!

I started slowly. They weren't allowed in the same room unless I was there for a few weeks

That's what we're doing. The kittens stay with my husband and I in the basement/apartment (which is kept locked) and the dogs live upstairs in the rest of the house. So far we've let the dogs smell the dirty kitten towels and we're waiting until the babies are quite a bit bigger to begin with on-leash intros.

Haha yes she is very gentle, she'll play with Jasper and ive never seen her move more delicately than when she does! And yes labs are amazing dogs and im still in the puppy stage although it is quieting down. Shes just over a year old

.GRIN...I know labs.  She'll be over most of it by the time she's three.  Takes them a minute or two to grow up, but SO worth it!

So jasper is doing great. Hes still a menace and terrorizing the apartment haha.

But im having some confusion. I thought he just turned 11 weeks today. But I went back and he was born on April 24th. So can anyone check my math. Im actually thinking he just turned 10 weeks. Which means somewhere along the way I added a week to his age :-/

~snortle~  probably during that period when you were feeding every 2-3 hours around the clock.  We all get a little loopy at that point.

There is no harm in it if your dog does not mind. The urge to suckle can be very strong in kittens. Mine nursed their mama for months.

We'd love to see new pictures!

Oh no, she doesn't seem to mind at all. And jasper once....ONCE tried to do it to me. I probably scared the crap out of him cause he clapped down and it was very painful.

Is your dog spayed, or has she ever had puppies?

That is an incredibly sweet picture! [emoji]128149[/emoji]

I think Jasper has brought out the full maternal instinct in your dog.. That is a photo worth publishing or sending to the humane society...
