Sophie litterally grabs the kittens out of my hand as im putting them on the scale and takes them back into the box. I do it right in front of the box and show her the scale every time and show her what I'm doing but she still wont have any of it.For the weighing, put a bowl on the scale and tare it. Then you just plop the kitten in a bowl and it's really quick. Try to get weights. You can do it right in front of Sophie.
Is it better to take them out of the room or take her out of the room? I feel like it would go quicker for weighing if I took her out. For supplementing, I understand taking the kitten out.Sometimes you have to take the kittens out of the room one by one to weigh and/or supplement. If mom can't hear them she'll be less panicked.
That's a good idea. It will stress her out less oif i I just take one and not all 4 one after the other. You might want to just get a weight on the kitten you are concerned about for now so we can know if he's getting enough milk or not. You said the others seem to nurse and sleep longer and do not cry.
