Facebook refuses to remove video of kitten being set on fire please pass on to everyone,complain to facebook,contact rspca and your local mp.Facebook must know who these people are and they need to be caught !!!

I saw your post a few days ago. I did not nor would not watch that video but... The picture of that kitten gave me nightmares and the thought of such monster's in this world was bone chilling disturbing. It haunts me to know there is such cruelty. Shame on FB.

Absolutely disgusting. I have no Facebook account but I will send emails to those addresses to explain they will NEVER see me using their services.

I haven't seen the video and I don't want to, but I can cry over it just as easily, because it's so easy to imagine.. It pisses me off to no end that monsters like that get away with hurty a beautiful, innocent little baby, but if I were to do the same to them in return, I'd end up in prison. Ridiculous.

I signed the petition and forwarded it ALL my Facebook friends with the following message: 

"If videos of senseless torture and killing of a defenseless kitten are not against Facebook Community Standards, is this a community we should be part of?"

I think this petition will go viral, and it SHOULD be the beginning of Facebook actually establishing some "Community Standards" -- So far 14,000 people have complained and they have done nothing.  Since we don't PAY Facebook anything, threatening to leave won't have as much effect as making lots of noise via a petition.  If the video is NOT removed soon, many of us will be closing our accounts, but I think it will be removed before that happens.

KEEP UP THE GOOD FIGHT, and pray for instant karma for the warped imitation of a human being that did this.

PS - I also wrote all three email addresses provided by @hollyberry2010 above.    I will share it in groups also as soon as I figure out a way to link to something that tells about it but does not show the picture of the kitten (I didn't watch the video and only glanced the kitten and scrolled down quickly so as not to even see that picture. I am at work work now and just can't stop thinking about it. The video I have not seen (and I don't want to, I don't think I could ever get over it..), but I did see an article about it with just a frame of the beginning of the video. Gods, it made me cry. I keep seeing it in my head. This tiny, beautiful black kitten in a bucket. I am driving myself crazy thinking about the pain and fear the poor thing went through. Damnit, I am at work and can barely stop myself from sobbing like a baby. Sometimes I think I must be crazy, these kind of things get me to the core.

I am going to stop checking in here late at night.  I stayed up for the next 2 hours sending info to all my friends on facebook through the petition site (not sure if they got it, don't know how that works, they may just get notified they have a message or something and choose to open it or not).  Anyhow, I rarely take tranquilizers but finally took one at 4 AM so I could sleep.  One of the messages to Facebook bounced but sent me to their HELP section, where I started to report the thing and then found their posted "COMMUNITY STANDARDS" that they are claiming this does not violate.  WRONG!

  When people share any content, we expect that they will share in a responsible manner. That includes choosing carefully the audience for the content. For graphic videos, people should warn their audience about the nature of the content in the video so that their audience can make an informed choice about whether to watch it.
  
  That certainly does it.  That is a "graphic image shared for sadistic effect and glorifies violence and has no place on Facebook."
  
  So whoever said it does not violate community standards is in error and it clearly does violate community standards and should be removed immediately.  Everyone PLEASE write Facebook and anyone else who might help -- evidently the video originated in the UK and not the USA but surely there are laws against it over there as well.  I still don't knowwhere on facebook this video is because I am unwilling to click on it and make it run in order to find out.  If any of you have more guts than I do, PLEASE find where it is, click the check box abovethe entry and use it to report and request it be removed.

It is so weird.  The petition has not gained any signatures to speak of.  I know all my friends (over 240) would have signed it if they got my notice of it, yet there are still only 330 signatures on the petition.  To report it by flagging it, you have to click on the video in facebook.  I can't bring myself to even look at the picture of the kitten BEFORE being urned, much less watch the video.  The description UNDER the picture is heartbreaking enough!  @Anne,you would think with all our members we should be able to do SOMETHING to get this off Facebook!

After the flames are finally put out, the camera zooms in on the helpless animal as it gasps for air, before the clip ends with the sight of a plastic bag being put over it.

'My mum is a cat person and it would have killed her to see that,' said Mr Dunwel.

'I'm a cat person, I've got two cats. This is just a kitten, it must only be about five or six weeks old and it has been brutally murdered.'

After reporting the video, which was not thought to have been uploaded by either of the men seen in the film, and carries a warning message, Mr Dunwel was told the video would not be removed.

In the response to Mr Dunwel, Facebook said: 'Thank you for taking the time to report something that you feel may violate our Community Standards.

Hi i thank you for that i have changed the email to [email protected] in the petition on change.org.I have also started emailing the petition to all cat rescue shelters within the uk in the hope of gaining more signatures,i will then move onto catteries and vets within the uk.I will not give up on this !! Facebook obviously have no morals they do not care they are vile human beings showing animals being tortured and harmed,what does that tell you about them if they cannot see this is wrong and could happen again and again unless we all make a stand ? Why would anybody want to associate with them ?

I also intend to find any cat business that advertise on Facebook and petition them such as Felix,Iams etc.

Please keep forwarding the petition to everyone you know.Please help all you can.

Is the video still on Facebook? I wonder if anyone can just sue Facebook over damage to their well-being caused by watching this. Maybe a mass lawsuit would help change their mind. 

I can't bear to even think about the video and the pictures in the articles are horrific enough. I can't imagine how scarred for life this can make any cat lover. I just really honestly can't believe Facebook hasn't removed it. 

I confess that here's a part of me that doesn't want to give the video or Facebook extra publicity over this. If you think of anything we can do to help as a community, I'd be happy to help.
