Everything that is happening here is troubling
. It just makes me want to cry, because apparently this little cat is being diagnosed strictly via phone, if I am reading correctly, and this is no reflection on the owner
. I know this cat is truly loved and the owner is doing everything she can to save him.
As to not feeding him until he has diarrhea, this is not good advise, though, because if that were to take DAYS, then he could develop Hepatic Lipidosis on top of everything else
. I would agree that food could be withheld for possibly 24 hours, but I wouldn't go longer than that. He doesn't appear to be eating much, so hopefully not too much stool has formed, and she IS able to help him eliminate a little bit of it at a time, from what I understand, using her little finger and vasoline. I think increasing the Miralax is certainly a fine idea, if the 1/8th teaspoon twice a day isn't working. I think some people even give it up to 3 times a day too, in severe cases.
Winkie, has there been any vomiting? I'm hoping if there is no vomiting that means there isn't a complete blockage anywhere down the line
Continued vibes
