I am a 22 yr. old college student. I would like to be a civil rights attorney. I am from western New York and right now it is FREEZING out. I have 6 cats and a ferret. My oldest cat is 12 yrs. old. Her name is Daisy. She is a gray tabby. My next oldest cat is a 7 yr. old male named Taffy. He loves to be carried over my shoulder. He is an orange tabby. My 3rd oldest cat is also my newest arrival. His name is London. He is 4 yrs. old. He was dropped off outside of my home and I spent 2 yrs. trying to trap him. I finally succeeded Nov. 2nd, 2003 with the help of my cat-loving neighbor. He is the biggest baby and has become quite accustomed to the indoor life. He is white with gray spots. He also has a birth defect. Only one of his eyes developed, so the other is just an eyesocket. My three youngest cats are all 3 yrs. old. Jack was born in Mar., Luke in April, and Lexus in July. All were strays. Jack looks like a black tabby maine coon, but since we don't know anything about his background I can't be sure. Luke is a black cat, but if you look at him in the right light he appears to have stripes. Lexus is calico. Her mother was dropped off either pregnant or her two kittens were dropped off with her. My neighbor took the mother and one kitten and I took the other. They are my life.

In a state of insanity :)
Hi my name is Carla, I have just turned 42 on the 11th of this month. I have been married to my hubby for 17yrs. We have no kids of our own, but have plenty of neices and nephews and grandneices and grandnephews to claim as mine.
I babysit 2 of the grands who just happen to be Blondiecat's grandkids. Yes she is my sister, I also have a brother that shows up on here sometimes that is Spideycat.
I presently don't have any cats but I do have 2 dogs, 4 cockatiels and 3 fish. I am thinking about getting another cat but have not found 1 I like yet. Also there is no lacking of cats around here as the neighbors have plenty. I have also raised cats most of my life and miss them now they are gone.

Hello TCS Peeps
..... As You already know. My name is Sandra and I am a black 35 year old female from Springfield, Illinois. I was born and raised in Chicago Illinois though. Right now I am working as an Office Assistant for the State of IL. I loathe it but it pays the bills. About 7 years ago, a black kitten with a white upper middle and patches of white came into my life. I named her Patches and a month later my roomate acquired a Tuxedo kitty named Tiger. I do not have any human children though. My cat is my "kid" and she is all I need. I am single, but I do have a boyfriend who I met over the Internet
. We met through an interracial dating site on Yahoo.... He was the one with the ad that I answered. And I also have 3 older sisters and 1 older brother.... I am the baby of the family
. Well, that is all about me.

My name is Lisa. I'm 24 years old. I'm a christian, country girl with a southern accent. I was born on June 17, 1979 on Father's Day (quite a gift, huh?). I live in central Georgia (the peach state). I'm single, with no children (other than my cats of course
). I just recently graduated college, making me a certified business office specialist and am now looking for a job (wish me luck
).

I love country music; coca-cola; cats; fast food; spending time with my family; writing poems; collecting Shirley Temple movies and DVD's and anything else that has anything to do with her; and watching "Days of our Lives" and "Another World" soap operas. I am currently in the process of learning sign language (just because it interests me and I feel the need to). And that's really all I can think of to say for now.

Hmm I guess I should do this!
My name is Meagan and I live in Northern California and have my whole life. I am 17 years old and I just graduated High School in December. My parents have been divorced since I was around 2 years old. My dad re-married when I was 5 (never told me he was getting married). His wife and I do not get along that well, but we have done better since I moved out of their house. I have two half brothers named Bradley and Zachary, I seem to have forgotten their ages though
they are around 8 and 10? My mom and I are more like best friends, she knows everything about me. We live together in a 3 bedroom house with an added on den, with 2 large dogs and 9 somewhat small cats. We have just started looking around to move within the next year, we have been looking at new homes (yay!). That seems to be about it!

Sam, just wondering, when you say college (for you) what do you mean? Because here college students are around 18 years of age and up. I think I am a little confused, lol.

Hi all

My name is Angela Natalie Schild. I am turning 29 next month. I have been married for a year and a bit but have been with my husband for 8 years. We have no children but I am hoping on starting to try later this year (around September).

I am mum to Tarka, a beautiful chocolate Burmese. She is a special needs kitty as she is paralysed in her back legs but she is an absolute sweetheart. I am also mum to Luca, a chocolate siamese. She is the sweetes most lovable little cat as well.

I am a project manager at an Internet Service Provider in South Africa and am writing my certification exams in just under 3 weeeks (I am supposed to be studying now! I am such a bad girl).

I have one real brother, his name is Craig and he is doing his doctorate in Chemical Engineering. I have 2 stepbrothers and 2 step sisters - they are quite a lot older than me though.

My hobbies are my pussy cats, reading, gardening and that is about it. A very boring existance- but I like it!.

Hi!

My name is Adrienne and I was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. I currently live in a suburb off the island of Montreal, and I'm planning (if I EVER get my acceptance letter!) on moving out of my mom's house and going to live on my own in the Toronto/Brampton, Ontario area in September.

I'm 25, and live with my mother. We have 3 pets. Dixie, a 6 year old beagle/collie mix (I'm taking her with me to Brampton) who we adopted from the SPCA 5 years ago. Kermitte, a 3 year old female grey/white tabby we got for free from the Montreal SPCA when she was 4 months old (a thank you gift from the Director of the SPCA for my 1 year of volunteer work), and Elmo, a 1 year old orange/white male we also got for free from a woman who had a litter of kittens that needed a good home. We got him when he was 8 weeks old.

I work as a professional groomer at a local vet clinic, and I LOVE my job!!! I'm studying to take a horseback riding exam soon, and have just finished a spanish course, which was a LOT of fun!!
I'm bilingual (trilingual, although my spanish is still being worked on)... I have visited almost all of Canada, and my bf and I are going on a trip in May. We're flying to B.C, where we'll tour the province and visit with family I have there, then driving through Canada back home. Should be a great trip!...Did I forget anything? Oh yeah. I was in a hit and run car accident last summer with a drunk driver, and was very lucky to come out of it uninjured. The car was totaled, which means we now own a new car (2003 Mazda Protege 5... a beautiful "laser blue").

K. I think that'll do for now.

MAny of you already know a little about me but I'll do a bio for the others...
My name is Pamyla and I live in Indiana, for now. I paln on moving to Jersey in Dec. I am 24 yrs old and live with my parents until I finish school. Between the 3 of us we have 14 indoor and adoptable cats, (MIne: Caper, Demi, Bozo and OJ. Moms EG, Mr. Lipps, Dads: Ray.) Survi, Meiu, Stripe, Urtel, Mr. Poe-Poe, and Fluffman are all adoptable around 10-12 feral/free roamers who have been TNR but come and go as they please. We also have a Cocker named Luckey and a Aqua baby frog that prbably should have passed on about three years ago since he is now about 4 or 5 and they are only supposed to live for a few months. When I am not here or taking care of our fur family I volunteer at a local shelter and at a hospital. I am currently studying Public relations and Nonproffit so that I can do more for my community.

Most places besides the US, college is like high school. Beyond that is university.

Hi! My name is Trish and I'm 24 years old. I am living in Toronto right now with my boyfriend and two cats. I've lived in quite a few places though. I was born in Victoria, BC, then moved to Toronto, Ontario (North York) and lived there for less than a year. I was 4 and my dad hated it there so he got out as soon as he could and we moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where we lived for 5 years. Then we moved to Ottawa, Ontario (Orleans) and lived there for a year until my dad was offered a position in Germany. So we went there (Lahr, in the Black Forest) and stayed there for a year until his position was cut and we had to come back to Canada. So we went back to Ottawa and I finished high school there. Then I went to Waterloo, Ontario, where I studied computer science/math at the University of Waterloo. I just finished my degree there and now I work as a Programmer Analyst in Toronto.

I am a HUGE Ottawa Senators fan and I love hockey (typical Canadian girl).
It sometimes makes it hard to live here in Leaf Nation.
Boo Leafs. Hehe!
Anyway...I like to cross-stitch, watch hockey, and... I don't know, I guess I'm kind of boring.

I have two furbabies. Sparta is my DLH brown tabby girl who's about 11 months old and Ares is my DMH black and white boy who is about 6 months old. They're sweethearts and I love them to pieces!

I guess that's about it!

Hi, my name is Jimmy Frost and I'm a long-haul trucker. I'm 39 years old and don't feel a day over 60. I love bubble-wrap and peanut-butter.
I am married to a pretty nice person who talked me into out first cat, Misty.
Then she talked me into another cat named Serenity,
I snuck out of the house one day and adopted my precious Zo-Zo and on Christmas day of 2003, we adopted out most recent addition to the family, Bari.
It's all my wife's fault that I'm a cat lover becasue she was the one who convinced me that it was okay to have a pet and perfectly okay to have cats becasue afterall, we owned our own house!
I realized that she was right and now I'm a member of a local Cat Rescue group that I love helping out.

I have done a wide range of jobs, pumped gas, Paramedic, Repo-Man, warehouse helper and finally, trucker.

I also write a monthly article for TCS called "Fur The Long Haul" where I write about traveling with my cats and the adventures we have together. When you spend as much time with an animal in such a confined space as a truck, you learn a lot about them and yourself.

Is there anything better than having a warm kitten or cat curl up in your arms to heap love and affection on you?
Nope.
When a cat loves you, you've earned it.

Actually in New Zealand, it is just a handful of high schools that call themselves colleges. For example, my high school was Marian College but we still called it a high school. The boys school across the street was called Shirley Boys High School. Most HS are called just that - high schools.

We call "colleges" universities with some exceptions - schools that teach teachers are called Teachers Colleges and we don't really have community colleges - they are called polytechnics - but they are the same thing.

Hope this helps.

Maybe it would be less misleading if you just said you were a high school student instead of a college student Sam - we never said "I go to college" in NZ when I was in high school
