Guys, my babycat cried all the time.....even after feeding her. It's only quiet when she sleeps. What can i do to make her stop? Is there something wrong with her?
You mean how much ml she drinks a day? Uhm about 70ml a day it'll be more when i have vacation. How can i help her pee and poop....she just does that in the box and then i clean it and her. she does have teeth. I don't think she's warm enough. Could that be it? She does like the company of humans, she is quiet while playing with me, but i actually don't have enough time to play with her yet. Because I'm very busy with school and can't always play with her. Or keep her company every time.
I also noticed that she likes to be around other cats. But my male cat doesn't like her very much, he runs away. And he stays with me in my room, and is really bothered when she's around. Cause she follows him everywhere.
She doesn't sleep with me at night. Cause I'm actually scared she might pee on my bed or smth. Cause my other cat is trained and always goes outside to pee and stuff so that's why he sleeps with me almost every night. Yes I'm going to try and give her some wet food. Oh and also went shopping today and i found some kitten milk but not the powdered one. It was the liquid one, in a box or smth. I bought it and I'll switch the them from time to time. Is it okay to do that? You know give her kittnmilk today and puppy milk tommorow?
I think I would worry about the kitten and your male cat interacting. Since he's not neutered, and frequently getting into fights, you don't know what he's been exposed to. I would keep some distance there.
As for switching off the milk, it might upset her stomach. Kitten milk is definitely preferable, so you may want to switch to that. How much of the puppy milk do you have left?
Where is the kitten sleeping? If it's too cold she needs a rice sock or a hot water bottle.
Okay i will keep them apart. I still have a whole lot left tho. I think ima stick to the puppy milk cause the kittenmilk says for kittens of 6weeks and older. So I'll wait a week or so. She is sleeping inside a box in the house.
The boxed milk you bought is probably Whiskas Treat Milk for cats. It does not contain nutrients that kittens need. Continue with the puppy milk until you use it up. It's better for your kitten than treat milk.
Let me know if she likes wet food. You can mix it with some formula to make it mushy and easy for her to eat.
this one cause it said for kittens of 6weeks and older and it has taurine in it. You might not understand the language on that box cause it's in duth and German.
Uhm yes I'm planning to neuter my male cat, as soon as i have some money I'll do that. And my baby cat sleeps inside the house. And no she doesn't use a litter pan. None of my cats has ever. Because they don't sell much of these things in my country and if they do it's very very expensive. Although i am planning on buying alot of stuff for my cats when i go on vacation to America, things like these are quite cheap there n
Are you letting this kitten outside to pee and poop? It needs a small tray with some sand or dirt at this age.
Which country are you in and city are you near? We can help you to find a low cost spay and neuter clinic. It's far cheaper than litters and vet bills for injuries.
You can use a small cardboard box for the litter tray w/low sides so it's easy for the kitten to get in and out. Put something in the bottom of the box so urine doesn't leak through, I used puppy pads. Then put the dirt or sand on top of it. Maybe 3 cms deep. You'll need to put the kitten in it when it wakes up and before and after meals so it learns to use it. Take it's paw and show it how to dig.
Is the kitten spending time with your pregnant cat still? She could be lonely, you can give her a small stuffed animal to cuddle with.
To figure out how much to feed the kitten, you need to know it's weight in ounces (I don't know the calculation w/grams
) I used this table to help with conversions http://www.metric-conversions.org/weight/grams-to-ounces-table.htm So weigh the kitten every day at the same time. Multiply the weight of the kitten in ounces by 8ml and divide by the number of feedings in a 24 hour period. If you are feeding 8 times a day it's easy, just use the weight of the kitten. A 4 week old kitten usually weighs 16 ounces so the kitten would need 128ml of formula in 24 hours. If you are giving 6 feedings a day offer 26mls. If the kitten is still nursing your pregnant cat she may eat less formula. Is the pregnant cat grooming the kitten? She could be helping the kitten pee and poop. The kitten should be gaining a minimum of 10 grams a day. Always round up, it's better to offer too much than not enough. As the kitten grows it needs more food which is one of the reasons to weigh the kitten daily. The other is losing weight or not gaining is one of the first signs the kitten is sick.
No the pregnant cat isn't feeding the kitten, i thought she was but my cat has been sucking all day and there wasn't any milk coming out. And this pregnant cat is really aggressive in my room she did want to stay with the baby but outside when i put the baby cat next to her she tries to hurt her. So I'd rather not put her with the pregnant cat. She weights about 12ounce, i think it's cause of the days i didn't have milk to feed her and all the time she had been sucking on the pregnant cat without any milk coming out. But she's fine now she drinks alot, although i can't feed her 8 times a day because I'm in school and stuff. I will feed her more on the weekends en when school ends. Tommorow is the last day i will be taking classes and then i have tests coming next week so I'll be at school for probably 2hours. Then I'll be able to be home earlier and feed her more and during this (test week) I'll have days off. After next week I'll have vacation.
