Okay, this might be a dumb question but polka LOVES catnip. She has a bowl of it that she dumps and rolls in throughout the day. Can catnip get her stoned and stop labor?
I have no clue! That's an interesting question. I have always had to ration cat nip because my cats in the past have gotten kind of hyper and crazy on the stuff and start salivating - some more so than others.
I guess if you take it away she'll have to concentrate on her situation more.
I think I'm going to try removing it. She might be pretty upset but we'll see what happens. She doesn't get hyper. She sticks her paw in, rolls around a minute and goes to sleep. I'm off to try and sleep so we shall see how she handles having her catnip taken away.
She was definitely all flushed out but now she's replenishing her bowels with a few bowls of kitten chow. She is staring longingly at her catnip now. She may need to go to rehab.
Good news! WebMD says catnip is not only perfectly safe, but it is non-addictive, so Polka can nip to her heart's content. It says it makes some cats blissful and others playful. Thought you'd appreciate knowing.
Lol! I had already given in to her. She was pawing at the lid trying to open her jar, so I let her have it. I've never known a cat to enjoy it quite as much as she does.
