I appreciate that. I guess right now i'm just a bit upset- but it will be ok. Colin said he's spending the whole morning with me tomrorow before i go into work. so it's sooo good to have such a supportive guy like him around for a time like this. He's being great. I know he's disappointed too though so that stinks. I'm still a little unsure about the cysts and all- i have no clue what they really are or much about them -so i'm gonna google a little info and see what i can dig up- see if there's anything i can do or use OTC to help the cramping.

I'm glad your life isn't in immediate danger! The cysts shouldn't stop you from having kids, and my mother had a tilted uterus and she had four heathy babies.

On one hand, it's a shame that you're going through this, and yet on the other, it may be nature's way of showing you that in many ways you're ready to plan a family...maybe just not quite physically there yet. Let's work on those cysts first, and get everything up to speed. Start taking that folic acid, girl! And do some research into the cysts online or with your doctor...prepare yourself, and take good care!

I know everything will work out for you and Colin. Don't get down-hearted just yet, as you're very early into your journey of baby-makin'!

Thankyou! I definitely appreciate that. I didn't think i would get this upset- but i am now so i'm just trying to take it easy. I thought maybe working out for a bit would distract me but it didn't do much. I do feel better though (always feel better after a nice workout.) You are right though- this experience has definitely shown colin and i both that we are ready to be parents and want children very much when the time is right.....so in a way, that's awesome to know and be certain about.

Thanks for putting that into perspective for me. As of right now i'm going to try and learn as much as i can about the cysts/ and whatever i can do proactively to help my body- so that when the time is right and i'm ready- i can have a healthy pregnancy. Thankyou for being so supportive

I am sorry the news wasn't what you hoped to hear, but very glad you went in. I am a firm believer that information empowers you. Please look up PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome and see if this fits you, and specifically ask your doctor if they feel you have this. If so, I know more about this than I want to (was misdiagnosed with this), and can refer you to a good website.

I would strongly recommend, depending on whether or not they do say it is PCOS, that you ask if a workup with a reproductive endocrinologist pre trying to conceive would be a good idea. You are much younger than I was when I tried to have children, which is extremely in your favor, but why not be as informed as possible before trying?

I am sorry you didn't get the news you were hoping for. I am glad you know what is causing you the pain now. They do go away, so you will feel better. If you think you are ready to have a baby right now, why not just stay off the pill? They said to wait to take them, so why not just get it out of your system, I don't think you are supposed to take them if you are going to get pregnant, so while you take care of the cysts, don't take them and when you ready I am sure it should happen quickly. You haven't been trying and was taking BC, so with out it, you shouldn't have any problems getting pregnant. If your DR thinks it is safe for you, with the cysts of coarse. I had a baby with all my problems (at 17 one DR told me I most likely couldn't have kids, if I did I Would have a hard time)and I had a text book pregnancy with out any problems.) so you should do fine.

I can't stop crying now

I really shouldn't have looked up info o PCOS tonight (my doctor said i had it). Big mistake - that was the last thing i needed to see right now. So now not only am i not pregnant, but i also have a chance of having infertility problems. I'm can't believe this- i went from thinking i was pg. one minute and now i might not even be able to have kids

I'm going to talk to Colin tonigh- i didn't realize how bad this syndrome could be.

If this is the case- i do not want to wait to have children- i want to try as soon as possible while i'm still young and can hopefully have a better chance of concieving. These are the sites i looked up. Would you mind sending me a link to the one you recommended. I'm going to talk to my doctor about if i need to see a fertility specialist soon or not. This was the last thing i was expecting today

Try not to worry, the stress will only add to it. You said you have never had cysts before, so mabey this is some thing that is just starting up and you don't have years of scaring from cysts, I do, and I got pregnant at 23 (not trying) I am not sure really of pcos, my mother has mentioned this to me lately, I am acually going to check the links you posted. So I don't know how they happen ect. But, you are young, relatively healthy (right, i'm not sure), and haven't had problems for a long time with reoccuring cysts. It will be easier then you think, and fun too

Ok, STOP reading websites now - they always give worst case scenarios, and don't account for all scenarios. It's good to be informed which I guess you are now, but all the reading will do is scare the bejayzus out of you (which it sounds as though it has).

Go talk to who you need to, and put your mind at rest.

Look at the positives - you found out about it early, you can look at treatment options, and best of all - you got to see how Colin would react to if you found out you definitely were pregnant, and it was a GREAT reaction. That's awesome that he was so excited.

And when you guys are ready you'll be at it like rabbits still, so I'm sure you'll get pregnant fast

The doctor said that these cysts have been there for a while. They just went undectected because i'd never had an ultrasound till now./ thanks for the encuragement

thankyou larua:hugs you're soo sweet! / i hope your right and i'm able to have kids with colin. i'm going to talk to him tonight when he comes home and let him read some of the links i looked up. i'm really concerned about this now and it's really upsetting. i think it might not be a bad idea to discuss starting a family sooner rather than later so that we have a better chance at avoiding some of the infertility issues associated with that syndrome. when i talk to my doctor i'm going to ask her more about it. i had NO clue what it was until a little while ago when i googled it- i really should not have done that tonight considering i was already upset over not being pg. but oh well...at least now i know.

Thanks Sarah. / I wasn't trying to overload myself with information earlier - i only looked up 3 links. The thing was- my doctor was like "oh you have ...such and such" and i had no clue what it was- so i was trying to educate myself (and yeah, in the process when i learned what it was- it got me all riled up.

) I guess you're right though- i am at an advantage being young right now- i guess i really don't have a lot of time to wait though- so i'll talk to colin and my doctor and see what they thing too. / You're definitely right about colin- he's such a sweet guy

hun. I'm sorry the doc visit didn't turn up the news you wanted. I really wouldn't stress too much about the cysts. Just because you have them, doesn't mean itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s written in stone that you'll get or do have PCOS. It's not a bad idea to discuss the possibility with your doctor, though. I can tell you from experience, most doctors won't do much of a fertility workup until you've been trying to conceive for 3, 6, 9, or 12 months and it's been unsuccessful.
