Another thing about older cats from my experience is sometimes they need smaller meals spread out through the day. Like older people they aren't as hungry as their younger counterparts.

By older assuming you mean 7+ years

Yes he is about 7 to 8 years old I first thought he was 9 but actually is around 7 or 8. 

He only eats in small portions at a time.
