I would assume continue mixing wet with pedialyte too?

Miss Sophia

Amber (James) was sitting on top of the scratcher trashing Sophia...at least I know they aren't feeling sick. :)

Pumpkin always works, but probably a little of both. Continue with the pumpkin for awhile. Glad to hear they are better.

We have solid poop!!! Woohoo!! I haven't talked about poop this much since my daughter was a baby lol.

Vet appt Thursday morning. I'm so curious as to how old they really are. And that I haven't done anything wrong and yet chastised lol.

Hurray for solid poop! [emoji]128512[/emoji]

Are they still getting pumpkin?

I think you'll have a good vet check on Thursday. They will probably recommend worming the kittens, which is always a good idea. But that will cost extra.

With this 'it's normal for kittens to get diarrhea' thing - is that even with changing brands of food? The wet food that was recommended is about to get real costly due to them eating more and more.

I'm using authority kitten formula now - any recommendations for something a little less that $0.89??

Fancy Feast.  Did you look at the larger cans?  They can be more economical.

Since you're keeping the kittens, lot of people like ordering on-line at Chewy.com.  I haven't looked but get the impression it's cheaper than pet stores.

Every time you change their diet they are subject to stomach upset and diarrhea.

I thought you were through with formula now? Why are they back on formula?

So you're looking for canned wet food that is cheaper than Fancy Feast? Use Friskies.

That's just the name of the Authority wet food :) No formula!! I just don't want to throw them back into diarrhea land if I change the brand of wet food. I'll probably just suck it up and get the Authority! :)

You just need to change it over time by slowing increasing the amount of the new food.  Is Authority the PetSmart brand?

I would assume - the girl at PetSmart recommended it.

You need to buy wet food you can afford and stick with one brand.

That's the idea! I got 2 cans of the authority brand and 3 cans of the friskies brand, they are the same flavor- I've been giving them 1 tablespoon of the authority, 1/2 teaspoon of the friskies, and 1 teaspoon of pumpkin since yesterday afternoon.  They are tolerating it well so far. I plan on upping the friskies by 1/2 teaspoon every 24 hours and slowly take away the authority.

They are eating every 5 hours or so...I tried putting down more than the above listed amounts and they don't eat it all in one sitting...they aren't crying when it is gone so I'm guessing they aren't still hungry.

I'll let you guys know how the vet appointment goes! :)

Nice job.  You can switch them over during one week.  Then you can alternate if you don't want to be bothered with mixing.

Well, the diarrhea is back, but at least now I know why. Gues I'll have to suck it up and get the original wet food.

Amber(James) is having a really hard time not having a bottle, to the point she's attempting to nurse on his sister's butt. I thought at first he was cleaning her, but oh no, he was trying to nurse. Any suggestions other than going back to formula? I could put pedialyte or water in a bottle I guess.
