Nobody knows where it's going!!!!!!! I just watched an update on the projected path and they are pointing it back to Houston again. I guess all that we can do is keep an eye on it.

Becky -
That's a good idea about getting a copy of my OB records. I have an appointment tomorrow and will do just that.

Caprice-
If we have to leave, we'll be leaving Friday night, I guess to either North Louisiana or Oklahoma (we have family there). I remember TS Allison, we had water as well but you guys got it really bad!!! Stay safe and dry!!

Allison was beyond imaginable. I lived with my mother at the time and if we had one more inch...everything would have been destroyed. Luckily, my mom sold the house last year and has moved up to Spring, bout 30 minutes from downtown. We plan to take the motorcycle up to her house tomorrow evening. Then, we'll just play it safe until we know exactly where it is going.

Holy cr@p! I saw a guy from AccuWeather.com on the news, he said according to their models it WILL be a Cat 4-5, and it's heading right toward Galvaston. He said this could be the worst hurricane Texas has ever seen (at least in recorded history). He also said it would probably hit on Friday to Saturday.

Everyone, please please PLEASE stay safe! Evacuate early, have all of your ducks in a row, and keep yourselves and your furbabies safe!!!!

Puerto Rico... land of rice and beans.
The second Great Galveston Hurricane... God no. I don't think it could be that severe as what happened in 1908 because Galveston has been raised several feet after the reconstruction.

But.... a second cat 4 to 5 in the Gulf... nah... Murhpy's law has been brought to the status of constitutional law. I am starting to feel like "God, not again."

Hopefully there were alot of paying attention what happened in LA/MI and will evacuate early and with the pets. Hoping the storm doesn't intensify in strength.

Louisiana and Michigan
? That gave me pause for a sec, the code for Mississippi is MS heh, heh.

If this one hits the south Texas coast (looking likely right now,) and given the size of the storms we've had this year ... just about every --- blasted --- foot --- of Gulf Coastline will have had a "hit" this year
...

Me too, oh god, not another one
...

I don't know what could be done about it though, I doubt you're going to get everybody to move inland 50-100 miles since at all other times the ocean has such a deep allure.

I am sitting here in awe...that storm is so HUGE! School closings are happening, my in-laws are evacuating right now from Brazoria county...this doesn't look good. Zack wants to stay here, but this is going to be a lot worse than Hurricane Alicia (1983). It could get to be a CAT 5. Zack and I went at midnight to get water and other supplies. I am just shakin!! This is just insane! Hopefully, I can talk him into letting us go to my mom's, atleast she is out of Houston and north of it! My school hasn't been cancelled yet...I have class on Thursday, I hope they just hurry up and do this.
