Okay, so I come home tonight and as usual Tousse is at the door waiting for me but Bease is no where to be found. I check all her hang outs, the closet, the bathtub, the cabinets under the bathroom sink, under my bed...No Beasley. I seen the maintenance man on my way out but he said nothing about needing to enter my apartment. And I have made it clear that since I have cats I would prefer no one enter my home without me being here. So I call and leave a message at my property managers. And of course there is no emergency number. I search the house again, looking everywhere, EVERYWHERE! OK, so I put my shoes on and head outside. I look in the front, the back and knock on every apartment door in my complex. Nothing. Okay, I look in the back and front again, including the laundry room and garage. Nothing. So I start knocking on neighbors doors. I walk down five or six blocks and still no Beasley. So I call the police's non emergency number and basically got laughed at. Okay, so I call the aspca and the animal shelter. Both are closed. So now it is a quarter till one and my baby is still missing. If you see me on the news tomorrow you know I did serious bodily harm to the maintenance man.

Have you had a good look in the airing cupboard or the wardrobe or kitchen cupboards?.

Many a time i've shut mine inside them by accident

If Bease doesn't go out and no ones been in she'll be there somewhere

Try checking the dryer... Dinah got shut in there one day not long after we got her. One of the boys shut the door after she had climbed in there, not knowing that she was in there. Just a thought.

GOOD LUCK finding your baby!

I agree with the others. It sounds like Beasley is still inside. Probably asleep!

You must just be frantic with worry. As just said, be sure to have a careful look around, Beasley may be hiding somewhere in your home. I'm praying she is back in your arms very soon!

Under the cats, mostly.
I know you're worried beb, but you have to remember that cats come into their own as independant creatures. I aggree that Beas will probably be hiding somewhere and be fast asleep. She'll have schnuk away into a dark corner that no-one would ever dream of looking in, I bet
Go to bed, get some sleep and you'll be able to think a littl ebetter when you're not tired as well as worried.
Good luck sweetie.

Winnie went missing for about half a day last summer. Couldn't find her anywhere, turns out she had gotten herself under the freezer and we had to move it a bit from the wall so she could get out.

Hope Beasley shows up soon.

Oh good luck with finding her! I had a cat who got caught up a chimney once, and we had an awful job getting him out, after searching for two days.

Oh my! I do hope the next post I see from you tells us you found her!

Once I had a cat (this is hard to describe) that got between the bottom of the bathroom cabinet (under the vanity) and the floor. I seriously was beginning to panic and wonder if Judgment Day had come and God took my cat and left me.
Finally, Mandy crawled out from underneath the vanity. Get down on the floor and feel underneath your cabinets to see if there is a gap. They can hide in the strangest places.

What's the word? I swear, I had the same heart attack you did two weeks ago when we had maintenance men come fix something and my boyfriend couldn't find Baylee. Turns out she had found THE hiding place of all hiding places and I guess since she was scared, she wouldn't come out, not even when my boyfriend was calling her or shaking a treat can. So... did you find her?

www.catsinthebag.org has excellent search tips & advice for finding missing cats - there's advice for finding indoor-only cats, and finding cats based on personality. Hope you find Beasley safe & sound very soon!

Thanks for the link. The kitty on there looks like my Bease

My house is now a disaster area. I have looked everywhere. I live in a one bedroom no bigger than 600 square feet. I have looked in every cabinet making sure there were no holes I didnt know about, in the heater, I took everything out of my closet, I turned all the furniture on its side, I took the mattresses off of my bed and nothing. I sat outside for a while last night hoping she would pop out of the bushes or something. This whole entire episode is so not like her. She doesnt go outside. No even on a harness and leash, I still felt she was too young. She didnt have her lil collar on, so there is no way to identify her. She's just a baby. She got out once and was so frantic to get back in she climb up and over my screen.

The property manager called. The maintenance man ACCIDENTLY came into my apartment yesterday. They said they dont know if he accidently let Bease out but she would page him and call me back. I did not say anything else, I only advised them I would call back, if I continued to speak with them right now, I would definitely say some very bad things.

Checked with local vets and still no sign of her. I made flyers.

Oh would I be FURIOUS!!!
I don't rent, but I don't want ANYONE to come in my apartment for any reason when I'm not there. But first things first, and that's to find Bease.
