So the kittens apparently don't like wet food but they try to eat the dry food. Is it ok for them to eat dry food this young?

Ol, thx so much. O, nobody ever answered about Bob not walking well yet. Is it normal he still bunny hops and looks like he has very little control? Or is it just bcz of his tail? Poor guy still pees on himself too although the vet said just wait and see

It's probably due to the tail issue, though he may learn more control as he grows. Poor little fellow is doing his best, I'm sure. Just continue to clean him up so he doesn't suffer urine burns.

I clean him up pretty often. I can tell when he's been asleep for awhile bcz he has it down his little leg. Poor guy does really really well with getting around, but he gets tired more easily. He can go really fast but not like the others. I still love him all the same, and I've come to know that he will likely be here forever. Either the pee stops or I guess I learn to diaper at cat. Thank u so much for all the help. Idk how I would've made it through all this without everyone here!

Well, we have a new problem with Bob. He has now apparently started to poop on himself. I had to clean it just a minute ago and it took a while for him to good clean. I finally had to put them up underneath the sink to get it all out. Is it okay if I start giving him since he's only 4 weeks old? I feel probably the rest of his life so I would like to it. Thank you for all your help

Do you mean start giving him a bath? An occasional bath is okay. Make sure he does not get cold.

He'll need to learn to use the litter box. You can start putting the kittens in a kitten-sized pan before and after meals now. They usually catch on quickly!

Ok, I washed him earlier with just water and only the rear bcz he was all poopy and dried him with a wash cloth right after. So I put them in there right after they eat, makes sense. I did try that earlier and they all just started meowing and left. I'm not a fan of giving cats baths, but I figure with bobs outcome being unknown he might as well get used to it in case. Not only that I think he could use it with all the pee pee that he gets. Can't have him getting sores.

They will learn the litter box better over the next couple of weeks.

I couldn't do it anymore. I ordered Bob diapers and put him in a makeshift one for now made out of a sock. I had to wash him off 4 times today with water (the last time was so bad he had to soak for a minute) I dried him off and after a ridiculous ordeal to get it on him he's in. I feel terrible! He was all dried poo in just a couple hrs, and pee was all up him. His brothers were getting in it all cuddled up to him and it was coming out as fast as I was cleaning it at one point! I'm calling both vets tomorrow and diapering him until then with the sock method. If the vet can't help I've ordered cat diapers to help bcz it's everywhere! I read I can shave him to help with the cleaning, going to ask the vets about that, and see what they say. I don't want to waste money on a vet if they wont/can't do anything, and I can't if he needs all this for the rest of his life. I think he will be ok for tonight, and I'll leave it off while I'm at work tomorrow until I talk to the vet. Any advice at all!? I think him eating so much has caused lots more to come out of him, and thus the problem is really really noticeable! Poor Bob!

How often are you changing the diaper?

I just got it on him maybe an hr ago, so I figured I would clean him all up in the morning and try to leave it off while I'm at work. Idk how that'll work during my work hrs though cause it says to change it every 3 hrs or something like that. It will be like 5 tonight. Idk anything about all this, I am just doing what I can with what I have. To many baths is bad, pee is bad, poop is bad, being alone is bad, not being with mom is bad, ect ect. Trying to keep everything covered at once is becoming an ordeal. Is the diaper the best fix? Or should I just let him roam free and wash everyone when they need it? I'm stressed about it to the max! Vets won't usually tell u anything without charging u the 35 (cheaper one) to 45 (nicer one) fees to look at them for 3 minutes and in the end tell me the same crap usually. The only place I've heard of that actually isn't in it for the money is an hr or more away and it's first come first serve so ppl r there hrs before they open. I want to take him there but I can't take off work to do it. Does anyone know of a rescue group that might be able to help near me? I know nobody will want an incontinent cat, so I need to get the best info I can on how to care for him unless the vets can do something to fix him.

I'm concerned as to whether he has worms or parasites. Is the poop solid or diarrhea? Once kittens begin eating solids the poop should be solid. I know he's only 4 weeks old, so his poop may be slightly soft still.

If you can get him trained to use the litter box eventually, he will be easier to clean up.

I think consulting the vet is a good idea. Diapers are a good idea. Leaving it off while you are at work is best, because Bob doesn't need to sit in his waste. You can confine him to the bathroom while you are away. It would be easier to clean up.

An issue here is that he is little. Kittens pee and poop a lot. As they get bigger and older they pee and poop less often. In fact, adult cats usually poop only once per day.

I'm so sorry you and Bob are going through this. I know it's not easy!

Another concern is contracting a UTI easily  under these circumstances.   The next time you talk to the vet, I think it would be wise to talk to him/her about this.  Bob may need to be on a low dosage of antibiotic indefinitely  to prevent a UTI.  All it takes is a little fecal matter to go up his urethra, and there he has a UTI.

Well I called both vets today. Not unlike any other time at the expensive vet they said o, bring him in and we will see what we can do. They NEVER ask the vet anything, and I can't afford to just randomly take him. The other vet, which I actually talked to the vet, she was more helpful and less optimistic. She pretty much told me without actually coming out and saying it that he needed to be put down. Haha, she hasn't met me obviously bcz Bob is perfectly content and seems in no way in pain. She said wait until he is older so she can run the tests she really thinks he needs and watch him until then. He's been dewormed twice so he shouldn't have worms at all. His poop was less runny today (I don't think he ate canned food yesterday). He wasn't nearly as dirty when I got home. The vet really killed me with the way she talked about how he probably had something fatal like spina bifida, or something that could be fixed but would cost thousands of dollars. I explained to her multiple times I did not care if he needed cleaned and diapers forever, that if he was happy then he was going to live his life to the end. I have to say I was very discouraged, but I think Bob and I will be just fine. I have been reading more about how to care for incontinent cats and things to do that help. As he gets older it should actually get easier I guess. I am going to wait a few weeks to take him somewhere so he can go alone, and if they want tests he will be bigger. Nobody is killing my kitten! O, Pete used the litter box today all by himself! Go pete!!

I love your attitude! It's upsetting to visit a vet whose solution to a problem is just to put the cat down. Let Bob get bigger and see how things go. He may learn to use the litter box soon too. I would not want to put Bob down either. Hang in there! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

I still put him in there with the rest of them [emoji]128518[/emoji]. I have high hopes that he will get better, if not then I guess he will just have cute little diapers and I'll have to help him pee and poop for the next 20 years. He will be going to a vet prior to getting neutered just in case. That's 3/11 so he has time to grow or I can put it off for awhile for him. Seems like it could be a long road ahead, but I just know he's worth it!

So, there's a vet that doesn't charge office visits, and x-rays r like 40 or 50 instead of a hundred. They do things cheap bcz they r non profit. I want to take Bob on Saturday but here's the catch. It's an hr away and u can't make an appointment. I need to know if I can take him away from his mom and siblings for let's say 4 hrs? I am not sure exactly how long it will be, but 3 to 5 hrs is a pretty good guess. I can get a bottle if I need, but he has been eating on his own already so I can bring food, water, milk, whatever I would need. If it is possible, what do I need to take with him?

Can you wait a couple of weeks until he is just a little older? It might be easier then.

I could. I was watching him today, and it seemed like he was trying to go potty on his own but couldn't. He even went into the litter box, dug around and stopped like he was trying. That's y I'm wanting more to take him now than wait. I won't take him to the cheap vet that wants me to kill him (obvious reasons) and my vet is more than I can afford at the moment and I can't get any questions answered without a $45 office visit. He was all wet when I got home, and had some poop but not a whole bunch.
