Oh, wow.  You've been so dedicated to his feedings!

Can you take the mama cat to get her spayed?  What is your mom's objection?  Perhaps we can help you to present some information?

LOL I know what you mean about unloading 20 plus cans of cat food at the register.  I just say, "sorry about this" and enjoy any looks I get from fellow customers.  Kind of fun to be a  rebel from time to time.  The variety packs will save you money and give Jasper a variety of flavors and nutrition at the same time.  Jasper is new in eating solids, start him out right with wet food he will like and will keep enjoying the eating experience if daddy gives him a variety.  You will soon learn what his favorites are by this and can take it from there.  Jasper is just learning solid foods, you will learn what flavors and consistencies he likes best by what he wolfs down opposed to what lingers in his bowl.  Sheba and Fancy Feast are both perfect brands to start out with.

Objections are money. I'm laid off right now. I was going to wait till i was got a new job before I got another cat but when jasper was suddenly born i wasnt going to let him die because his mother wasnt able to produce milk. So i deceided to take on that expense. But other than money there are no objections

Oh, well as long as mom stays inside until she can be spayed there shouldn't be an issue. Would you like help finding a low cost clinic in your area though? That could help.

Yep, a low-cost clinic will save you loads over the private vet. Give us a holler when you're ready and we can locate something near you! [emoji]128077[/emoji]

If necessary, a GoFundMe Campaign can be a lifesaver.  AND you can post a link to it in the SOS forum here.  We've had members do so before for a good cause, and this is one.  Mama needs to quit breeding.  She's just too old now.

Not until he is at least 8 weeks old. He can have one now if you also bring his mom along.

And I still want to remind you that he really, really needs to stay with his mom for 12-16 weeks.

I wouldn't do any sleepovers. It's too disruptive to mom and baby and he's still learning a ton from her.

Why is it not going well to have mom and Jasper at your mom's?

It's a big mistake to separate them too early, and you're doing a long-term disservice to both of them.  Jasper will not have finished learning how to be a cat and his manners will suffer for it, and mom will mourn her baby.  It's just not necessary in this case and I honestly think it's cruel.

I know that keeping mom permanently is not possible for you, but could you not keep her in your apartment for one to two more months?  She and Jasper really need one another.  It will also make his transition to your house all the easier.

Well im sure hell learn from my two cats that i have now. And my mother and father are getting inpatient with them taken up one of their bathrooms. They cant roam the house as they have two dogs that dont do great with cats. And ive been taken the last few weeks slowly introducing jasper to my cats now so theyll all get along. I dont think its going to go over well to just drop the momma at my place with my cats

But Jasper is bonded to his mother and she is bonded to him.  You seem very anxious to get her out of the picture, and I do understand that to a certain extent.  She is not your cat and she is not responsibility.  However, you are taking her baby.  In leaving Jasper with his mom for the appropriate 12-16 weeks you are giving him the best possible start in life.  She absolutely must stay inside until she is spayed regardless.  I think we all just want to see her have the best possible life, especially after the incredible gift she has given you.  She deserves to live her last years comfortably.

You can leave Jasper and his mom in your bedroom or your bathroom and slowly integrate him with your cats.  This would be an ideal intro.

In any case, I really urge you to reconsider on behalf of everyone involved.  I understand why you would like to move along here, but time with mom is not something that you can make up later and you and your other cats are not a replacement.

Do what you need to do.

Living in the bathroom is not ideal for Jasper, his mom, or your parents.

He no longer relies on his mom for food, so he will be okay. It's not ideal, but it does sound like something needs to change.

Mom should be spayed before going back outside so there are no more surprise kittens.

Like I said, do what you need to do. I know he'll be okay no matter what. So will his mom. Use your best judgement. Living in the bathroom is not ideal anymore either. Mom and Jasper need to be out in the bigger world now.
