Her lack of appetite indicates to me that she either truly dislikes her food, is unhappy, or is not feeling well. It is concerning. Will she eat table food, such as chicken or tuna or steak?

Are you not able to borrow money for cat food in the meantime? It's nearly 3 weeks until the 27th.

She enjoyed her food about a wek ago i don't get why she has suddenly turned her nose up at it, I haven't tried human food I tend to try avoiding it but I'll try some chicken in a bit and see if she eats it, she eats plenty of treats i give her to help with things like joints, bones, teeth, skin and coat etc so I'm not sure what's going on with her, she liked dry food about 2 days ago and now she won't eat it. It doesn't help every time i turn my back Oreo is eating the remains of her wet food. I've already borrowed money and bought her kitten dry food thinking it would be better than adult dry food.

I'll try the chicken and update you later!

She nibbled at Oreo's wet food a little and went to lay down so I gave her some chicken and she only ate a little bit, could it just be because shes around 4-5 weeks and allegedly looses her appetite before going on a munch fest? (I don't know how far along she is that's just my guess)

I don't think eating that little is normal for a pregnancy, unfortunately.

It's hard to say if it's just the pregnancy without a check up. She does sound like she's not feeling well. [emoji]128532[/emoji]

If this is a medical issue, the longer you wait the worse it will be.  Treatment will take longer and cost more.  If she isn't pregnant it could be an infection.  3 weeks is too long to wait and I agree a pregnant cat would be eating more.

Maybe you can find some help though one of these places listed at the bottom of the article.

Due to a situation I'm in with my parents and living situation I'm unable to apply for support in regards to fund for vets I can't do anything but wait there's no one I can see no money I can borrow, I'll updat you all if her appetite picks up I hope she's okay her tummy is still getting bigger.

I fed her a pouch earlier and she ate about half of it so I suppose that's an improvement?

This may also fall under the list of things you can't apply for because of your situation, but wanted to bring it up just in case. Does your vet accept CareCredit? http://www.carecredit.com/

The way it works for the vets I have used it at is that if I have a bill over $200, I can pay it off over six months with no interest -- but if it is longer than six months, there can be a pretty high interest charge, so be careful. It has helped me a lot with turning huge vet bills into something I can manage financially, and it can be used for non-vet things too like eye appointments and doctors, etc., as long as they accept CareCredit.

It's mentioned a little bit on the article Handsome Kitty posted, but it might be worth looking into. I never thought I would be able to get any sort of financing when I first got CareCredit, and I was able to get it, no problem. And since it is more like a credit card, if you get it and decide you don't want to use it for anything, you don't have to. They don't charge you anything if you don't use it.

Did you look at the list?  Most of these are non-profits, not goverment agencies.

Update: Missy has an appointment this Saturday but I don't think she'll last that long, her rear teats have budded if that makes sense?

I was really worried because I haven't seen the kittens move yet but today one was going for a walk I swear, how long do you reckon until labour?

Its usually 2-3 weeks after you see movement. How is she doing? Eating?

Yeah she's been eating 3 pouches a day and we've fed her that for about 2 weeks maybe a bit longer than that so I'm glad she's eating more than usual, she's always either grooming or sleeping which is cute so I'm glad she's doing better!

We took her to the vets and they said she don't know how far along or how many kittens to expect but Missy s near the end of her pregnancy and to look out for milk on her tears, that was last week and now Missy is constantly meowing a noise we never really hear, she's not eating her breakfast and is grooming herself a lot.

Her tears were super dry so we put a little olive oil on them (on your website you recommended it a lot) and her tears were dirty so we also cleaned them with a super sensitive baby wipe designed to be used on newborn babies so I assumed that's okay to use? She also had a very dirty rear so we cleaned her with a baby wipe I'm assuming that's because she can't reach to clean herself?

She's also super hard I'm just wondering when to expect milk or if she will have any prior to birth? And how close to labour do you think she is? She's massive!

Cleaning her rear and oiling her nipples is a good thing. While it's hard to say when she'll have her kittens, she sounds very close to labor now. She may even be in stage one labor if she's meowing differently. However, stage one can last 24 hours, so be patient. Milk can come in before or just after delivery. Things sound normal to me! Literally as I posted that she began panting, stopped, panting, stopped and then she went in and made a bed in all the blankets and things I gave her in her nesting spot, now she's all cosy and constantly putting, stage 1?

She just did like 5 cramps in a row, she's on her side and her rear just cramped up 5 times in a row then stopped, are these contractions? Is that the kittens moving to the birth canal? How long until stage two? Aah :D

The kittens are definitely on the way!

Have you been able to figure out a way to keep your male separated or to get him neutered? Mom can get pregnant again within a week of delivery, so it is critical that they are kept apart.
