Good Morning.

Let's talk about chocolate! Do you like white, milk or plain? Fruit and nut or just pure chocolate? How about the more exotic combinations, chocolate and ginger, green tea flavour or chocolate with chilli? What's your favourite way to eat chocolate? Ice-cream, cake, pudding or just big chunks of it?

I rarely eat chocolate, but every now and then I'll get a craving. I like the very bitter, 70% cacao stuff. A little square goes so well with lemon tea. I'm not big on deserts, but I love a steaming mug of hot chocolate on cold winter evenings.

How about you?

I dearly love chocolate. It's either a vegetable or a salad, depending on how you look at it.

We have a candy store in town that specializes in their own homemade candies and chocolate. Decadent. Simply decadent. I like to go there to get Rick his chocolate-covered pretzels for his Christmas stocking. And then again on Good Friday for my chocolate Easter bunny. And a couple times a year in between. It's a nice little store. They have milk and dark chocolate and both are good. The store does a thriving business. It's about a mile away from my office, so I can easily walk over during my lunch break.

My true chocolate fix is peanut M & Ms....love those things and I don't know why. Normally I allow myself to buy a bag for Easter and Rick puts a large bag in my Christmas stocking and that's it for the year.

The only chocolate I will bake with is Ghirardelli. In a pinch, I'll go with Nestle's if I have to, but I won't use Hershey's or Baker's. I don't like the way the chips bake up.

I don't eat much Hershey's chocolate since they moved some (not all) of their candy lines to Mexico.

I've made chili with chocolate, but Rick didn't care for it very much. Most of the chocolate I buy is either for baking or for eating out of hand.

I love milk chocolate with almonds. I never could eat that cacao stuff, it's way too bitter and doesn't taste like chocolate at all. Semi'sweet is as 'healthy' as I will go, so my husbands stash of healthy stuff is safe from me!

I like the bitter stuff too. 100% cacao with no sweetness to it is a step too far, but 70-90% is good. I tend to go for the 'healthier' versions too; raw and sweetened with agave instead of sugar. Makes me feel less guilty about eating it!

If it's some type of filled chocolate I prefer dark chocolate.  The filling is usually sweet and I like the sweet, bitter combination.  For plain chocolate or chocolate with nuts I like either milk or one of the 'tamer' dark chocolates.

Other than as candy I like chocolate chip ice cream if it's like shaved chocolate not actual chips.  I also like the occasional brownie if it's the kind that's almost like fudge.  Those are the only chocolate desserts that I really really like.  I actually don't care for the coffee chocolate mix, I never get a mocha drink.  The only way I like those two together is if there is no coffee taste.  A lot of recipes call for adding a little espresso powder to a chocolate dessert but you can't  taste the coffee.  The espresso just intensifies the chocolate flavor.

I don't like chocolate desserts, I prefer key lime pie or bread pudding or Creme brûlée. I do however love frozen Reese's Peanut butter cups or M & M peanuts from the freezer.

i don't 'do' chocolate -- it's the caffeine in it that i don't want. i love carob though, which is kind of similar but really not the same taste as chocolate.

I absolutely love chocolate!

Sometimes I will be in a mood for the dark, other times it is milk chocolate. I really do like the Dove chocolate.

My mom used to put a white chocolate Easter Bunny in my basket. Right now I am in a milk chocolate phase.

I do not care for the new "blended"  chocolate.   I did try some chocolate with some "heat" in it. The first piece was interesting the second piece was so-so; by the time I got to the third piece, I was ready to toss it..

I love all types of chocolate.

In cold weather, I look forward to having a cup of hot chocolate w/ whipped cream on top; after I come in from the cold~~ very relaxing to me.

Chocolate is one of my addictions!

I like milk and dark chocolate. Which one I prefer depends on my mood. I am not a fan of white chocolate.

I love fruit and nuts in my chocolate! And while I really prefer to NOT have chocolate that is just plain chocolate, I'll eat it on occasion. In those cases though, I definitely prefer it to be dark chocolate.

Green tea chocolate, never heard of that! I HAVE had chocolate with chili pepper in it though! Both as a piece of candy, and in hot chocolate - both while on a chocolate tour in New York City in 2007.

I like chocolate candy, ice cream, fondue, cake... most things. However I don't eat a lot of it, for liking it so much. I am more of a "salt" person but occasionally the "sweet" cravings really hit me!

I love pretty much all chocolates, as long as they aren't mixed with coconut
But white chocolate is my favourite.

Dark chocolate for me.  70% is good and I love it with chili or ginger.

I love chocolate. High quality dark chocolate. Right now, I am working my way through a box of these. I got a good deal on the box of 12 from Amazon (of course). I'm enjoying them slowly so I still have 10 bars left.

I also like it with some sea salt or certain fruits added in.

I also like to bake with Ghiradelli but I'd pick Hershey's over Nestles if I couldn't get it because I find that Nestles is more milky than Hershey's and Hershey's makes the special dark chips.

I hate milk chocolate. White chocolate is OK on occasion. Chocolate and peanut butter should never, ever touch each other. I like them both but as far away from each other as possible.

Chocolate
I like most kinds of chocolate: milk, semi-sweet, dark, white, etc. I don't care for extra stuff in the chocolate but once in awhile I'll indulge in chocolate with a caramel filling. I received some German chocolates last Christmas. Sooo good

If chocolate is in a dessert, I'll eat it

Mint chocolate (dark) and sea salt chocolate are my favorites. I love dark chocolate! I usually get milk chocolate Hershey bars, because Rune can't find the dark chocolate when he wants to bring me chocolate.

I just love chocolate! Any kind but no coconut.

I live about 20 minutes from the Ghirardelli factory store.  Yum.  Need to go, I saw the Easter stuff in stores Thursday and they have lots of new bunnies.

I love chocolate. Especially white chocolate. I don't like nuts with my chocolate but the Hersey almond bar is my favorite candy bar.

I only like white chocolate. Try as I may, I've never been able to make myself like milk or dark chocolate. I can't even stand the smell of them. :(
Unfortunately, only liking white chocolate means my flavor/filling options are pretty limited. 90% of the flavored white chocolate I've seen is coconut or piña colada. Which I like, but I'm so jealous of all the options with regular chocolate! :sigh:

Pam, I laughed when I read about you and the peanut M&M's..

When I broke my arm and was cooped up at home, useless; my cousin would stop by to help me out. I swear I subsisted on peanut M&M's! I had her keep buying the largest size she could find!

At Christmas, she gave me a 'present'. It was a 3 lb bag of peanut M&M's...I was in heaven!!
