I was hoping I would've heard something today. [emoji]128575[/emoji]
I'm hoping Monday, Tursday at the latest. I'd like to know before Wednesday bc her spay surgery is scheduled for Wednesday! I noticed around her ears where the vet put that medication that there is like a brownish yellowish discharge? It doesn't seem to bother her and the redness has diminished quite a bit, her ears are still pink but not bright, painful looking red anymore. I hope that's normal.

Awwww.... beautiful kitties.   I love both their names, especially Clawdia.
Hope things go well with her spay and that both girls become as close as sisters.  Non-bickering sisters, that is.

Great news!!! Was not even expecting to hear from vet until at least Monday but just got voicemail from Clawdia's doctor! Clawdia tested negative for all feline diseases! She's a healthy girl! Just gave Clawdia a bath! Kind of......she wouldn't let me get her back end. Washed her ears up more. Her front paws look cleaner. Nala Ava Marie watched from the pocket doors. Nala looks like she feels like there's an intruder. Poor Clawdia is hiding under a desk. I feel like I've made a mistake, Clawdia hates it in here. I forgot to buy her own litter box so I made one for her out of a box, plastic liner and litter. I don't even know if she knows how to use a litter box. I sat her in it and she was scared and leaped out immediately. Clawdia seemed to want in the house and even snuck in a few times, now she looks desperate to get back outside! [emoji]128575[/emoji] She's still damp, I don't want to put her out all wet. Maybe I made a huge mistake? [emoji]128575[/emoji][emoji]128542[/emoji][emoji]128153[/emoji][emoji]128148[/emoji]

No, no, no, you did not make a mistake!  Clawdia will be much safer living inside.  She's just nervous because everything is so new.  Give her some time.  Does she have her own safe room?  That will help her feel more secure if she has her own place.   It's just been a few hours but some cats will hide for days when they first move to a new home so don't worry and be patient.

Clawdia shouldl figure out the litter box soon enough - it's almost instinctive with most cats.

Nala Ava Marie may very well view Clawdia as an intruder for awhile - that's what introductions are about.  I know you've already seen the article about introducing cats but here it is again:

Good luck and have fun with your new baby!

Well, I've ruined Clawdia's life.[emoji]128575[/emoji] She's miserable. She hates it here. She's scared, wet and probably feels betrayed. Nala is staring her down from the living room like she wants to attack her if it weren't for the pocket doors in the way. Clawdia doesn't want to sit on my lap or even sit in the same room.

Ok. I will calm down. Taking deep breaths. I will give her space. I should have prepared better. I was just so concerned with her test results being ok and getting her cleaned up. I'm going to set up safe room for her now. I have Nala Ava Marie's litter boxes everywhere, Nala has had full reign of the house.

So far it sounds like Clawdia is doing what any cat would do when brought inside for the first time and given a bath.  She's just a little freaked out but she'll be fine.   Remember that cats can pick up on our emotions so remaining calm will help her calm down as well.  She knows you to be a source of food and good things in her life so when she senses you are calm, she'll relax, too.

Let us know how it goes in her safe room.  Once she is in there, she'll feel more secure and Nala Ava Marie will feel less challenged.  It might be a few days before she sits on your lap again, but if she's done it before, she'll do it again.   Has she been spayed?  I may have overlooked it but don't remember you mentioning that.   If she's not spayed yet, doing so will help with her introductions to Nala Ava Marie.

Looking forward to updates!

I agree with Margd she is nervous because she is in a new environment, I wouldn't put her outside now, she just needs a safe place to climatize to the new environment. Be calm you are doing great with her.
