Spent about 45 minutes last night in the bedroom doing various exercises with my dumbbells. I'm only using 10-pound bells for now as I'm just starting out again. Some trunk/ab exercises, worked on my arms and a bit on my legs. Flopped down on the mat for some crunches......I always liked doing crunches. Mollipop is usually lying at the head of the bed with her head hanging out over the edge, looking down at me on the mat. Muffin is lying at the foot of the bed with her head hanging out over the edge. They just lay there and watch.

Stomach area is a bit sore now, which is good.

I figure I can take Sat and Sun off and then start in again on Monday. Rick has cautioned me about working out over the weekends....he says I need to give my body a couple days off to give it time to heal from the week.

(I miss walking. I really miss walking.
I think I miss the peace more than anything.)

Ok, so I did dismantle my recently bought used chainsaw into as many tiny pieces as it would go, cleaned every part, then put it back together, fixed air leak also fixed oil leak and turns out carburetor needed replacement, so swapped from another project saw 'new' carburetor in and chainsaw runs fine now, much stronger than my old one that is waiting parts.

Managed to cut some rounds that I split with axe.

Then drove to city with scooter and bought cheap Chinese grass trimmer thing with big motor, used that for more than an hour and managed to put out little sweat while doing that, I guess it was somewhat exercising then.

I have lot of yard to be freed with that trimmer saw thing, so curious to see how it holds up.

It is very much like one in this link:
http://www.globalsources.com/si/AS/Ningbo-Awlop/6008848386721/pdtl/51.7cc-Petrol/1082263298.htm

Could use bit more power, but then again maybe it lasts longer when there is not too much power put trough it.

I started my new programme today. It's the same as last time only 2 extra reps. 6 sets of 8 reps. It was tough.
My husband helped me set up the frame of my functional trainer this evening. I spent the afternoon cleaning the shed walls and vacuuming. Hopefully I'll be able to continue setting it up by myself.

I didn't do anything on Saturday. I was really busy at work, then had to do laundry and a supermarket run in the evening. I hate it when I don't have time to exercise all day, leaves me feeling really depressed.

Sunday was better. I walked for two hours, taking in as many steep hills as I could.

I did and hour of yoga and a 1 hour walk today.

Yesterday and today lot of brush cutting with brush cutter, it takes lot of time to clear all unwanted plants, but brush cutter seems to be great tool for that, lot of steps that are not getting registered as I have to hold handles of the thing.

I know I'm sweating in clothing which is cold if standing outdoors, so it must be some kind of exercising :D

I had to dismantle the motor of that new brush cutter though and make some improvements so it will work better and last longer, I guess warranty does not cover it anymore, but then again I should have lot less need for warranty now.

forgot to update this when you asked Blueyedgirl- but this is one way to do your triceps. Here is another one with more

sorry I forgot to answer your question sooner-its hard to upload photos from my phone-I also used hand tools for weights-like an adjustable wrench or a bigger socket/hammer or whatever has some mass to it. Maybe there's something heavy in your husbands tools that could give you a bit more weight. Sometimes I find hand weights at thrift stores etc. of course this weekend I found a weight bench and weights for a cheap price but I have no where to set it up.

Yesterday at lunchtime at work did half an hour jog in place and step side to side.

after work hit the gym. 10 min warm up on the elliptical then went to familiarize myself with that smith machine that holds the weights and you don't have to balance or worry about it falling on you.

did arms/back-overhead press- barbell rows- squats then some deadlifts. I have been able to up the weights quite a bit-I was getting bored with the stronglifts 5 x 5 so I went back to my pyramid lift sequence and messed around to see how high I could go. finally settled at 95lbs for deadlift-which is funny because if I had to balance this bar and weight I doubt I am much past 70lbs but hey I will take it.

then I got on the treadmill and set the incline to 11-14 and did 34 minutes. I only got a mile out of it but I was sweating pretty good. Read my book and walked and messed around on my phone. I wanted to do another 30 min of something else but I decided to cut it short. I will go tonight before grocery shopping and do some cardio. Have to back off on the weights for at least a day or two.

I walked two miles today during lunch. And yes, I felt some twinges in that area of my butt. I may not walk tomorrow and may just try every other day this week. And only two miles. Until I see what the therapist says on Monday.

So tonight I did some exercises for arms, trunk, legs/calves, and abs. About an hour or so of various exercises, using 8-pound dumbbells (I know, 8 isn't much, but I'm just starting out since last Wednesday).

Yesterday I did my biceps and triceps. After a weeks rest you forget about the soreness.
In the evening I loaded the weight plates onto my functional trainer. That was a workout in itself :D

I did t25 cardio today and went for 2 walks. I'm having issues with my right heel and it's making it hard to do much.

yesterday after work I did 1 hour on that stairmaster elliptical thingy-I set it at 50% and it was too hard-by 40 minutes I had to lower the resistence to 20. I really felt it this morning. Although it could have been from that steep walk I did last week-my muscles don't hurt until 48 hours then I eat tons of potatoes and banannas for potassium-I forgot my protein shake for after my workouts all week. not sure if that makes a difference.

this morning my back and butt were sore-today I did some walking around to try to stretch my legs.

This evening did an hour of weeding-so bending over and kneeling and pulling things out.

at work today I had to move some weld wire and I thought they were 25lb boxes=nope they were 50lbs. I definitely notice that I can lift heavier items at work without feeling winded-that's an accomplishment=being able to lift/move objects easier.

4 hours and 20 minutes of rock throwing today. Not really tiring, but I did not drink and that started to have effect on me.

hit the gym after lunch yesterday. did squats-chest press-deadlift-and other smaller exercises for arms then an hour on the treadmill. almost got 3 miles in. the first 45 min were inclined then the last 15 min flat with short times of running. didn't feel pain in my knees but only ran for 30 sec intervals.  went home sore and took some Tylenol and relaxed the rest of the night. not sure how it is that I spent 3 hours at the gym-got there at 1 and left at 4. doesn't seem that long. and I didn't feel like I did all that much. must be the resting in between sets.

keep up the good work!

Half an hour on my bike on Tuesday. An hour of yoga and a 30 minute run on Wednesday. Thursday I did a long hike up a mountain gorge. It took 2 and a half hours to go up and an hour to come back down again. Here are some pictures.

I did an hour of yoga today. I was thinking of going for a run but my legs said no.

You're killing me here with those pictures! I can't imagine living in a place of such beauty. You are a very lucky woman.

I did about a half an hour of trunk exercises last night. Tonight is my trunk, arms, thighs, calves, abs, etc. night.

I want to go walk / hike that gorge!!

I'm keeping my step count up around 23,000 for the walk challenge. I've been plodding on the treadmill after work every day this week just to get steps in. The team is doing great
The team we're doing a challenge against is supposedly all runners but their team average is well less than my team's.

I did a couple trunk/side exercises last night. Today is Sunday and I plan on taking the day off from exercise, hoping that I can get enough by working outside today.

Monday morning is my first PT session for my leg. I hope things will go OK as I really miss my walks.

I know! It's worth the freezing winters to have scenery like this.

There are some lovely hikes around here. Most people just come here to climb Mount Fuji, vastly over-rated in my opinion. Some of the other mountains and valley are far more spectacular and no where near as crowded.

An hour of walking on Saturday. An hour of yoga and a half hour walk today
