Were they alive?

Refesh my memory: where did you acquire Tiger? Was she part of a litter of strays? Outdoor cats are going to encounter insects all the time. I bet your chickens occasionally eat them.

I don't like insects much myself, especially in my home, but we need them. Just for starters, birds eat them, and bats, so the world would be a poorer place without them.

At least you combed them out and got rid of them.

Also, I've been remiss in offering my congratulations on your new family member. She's adorable!

Can you post a photo next time you comb her?  You need to comb her every day until there are no more bugs.  You also need to wash anything she sleeps on and vacuum every day until they are gone.  She will be very uncomfortable and itchy as long as she has bugs on her.

I still think they could be mites, which would explain the itching in the ears too.  Did they give you treatment for mites?

Are you still finding any bugs at all? Is she no longer itching at all?

I got her from my aunts house her
She goes outdoor and inside when she wants to
With her mother and brother
I took her to see her mother and they both cuddled sooo cute
But first meow hissed at her mum

All of the information I gave above (post 22) is still true. You are managing the problem, but they will not go away until you comb her every day, wash everything she sleeps on, and vacuum daily.

She is also young to be allowed outside. Is she vaccinated and spayed?

She should not be allowed outside until she is vaccinated and spayed. She's not old enough.

Kittens can get pregnant at a very young age sometimes at younger than 4 months old. It is very important that she is spayed before she goes anywhere outdoors! Not everyone realizes how young cats can get pregnant. She is also not too young to be spayed. Cats can be spayed as soon as they are two pounds. My kitten was spayed before we got her, when she was 11 weeks old.

It is fine to have her spayed later if you want to wait (or if your vet prefers she be older), but she shouldn't go outside at all until she is.

Ok. I hope you are understanding that she should not be allowed outside at all. You are concerned about the bugs on your bed, but she can get pregnant at any time now. It is not a safe situation, even sometimes.

I am glad you are supervising, but that won't help with bugs. It's also possible that she could take off even with you there if she's in heat. Maybe you could teach her how to walk on a leash.

She runs away outside or back inside? If she's scared of outside, keep her inside all the time. If she's running away to stay outside that's not safe.

She's still a kitten; she's not quite sure just what she wants yet.

The outdoors is fascinating — things to stalk, strange smells, things that tickle her nose when she sniffs them. But she's figured out that there are unpleasant things outside as well — cars, fleas, lots of things she may not like. And inside are her food and water, her cozy bed, people who pet her and play with her.

She is definitely your kitten now; she's decided that your house is home. It sounds as if you're doing things right.

Good for you!

All the same, you may want to leash train her, and you definitely need to have her spayed before she goes into heat for the first time. Cats in heat are desperate for sex, even though for a female cat it's pretty unpleasant. At that time, it's their hormones in control, and nothing else. Be glad that menstruation is totally different.

Thank you for all the information Margaret it's definitely helping me
I wanted to ask that if I take her to her brother and mothers house can her and her brother have a kitten together?
Even though I have taken her she wasn't really interactive with them .

Physically yes, her brother could get her pregnant. It would be a really, REALLY bad idea though - they're too closely related to breed safely (genetic defects etc would be a very real risk).

She should be old enough to spay now, so I suggest you get it done as soon as possible. There are all kinds of risks associated with breeding, both to mother and kittens. Far better to get her spayed.
