don't they like Daves as I recall!
They do not like anything . The problem is they will try something once but will not eat it again ..  Awhile ago I got a couple cans of the Daves and they ate a little of the first can but would not touch the second can of the same flavor .  I just cannot afford to go out and buy a hundred different cans of cat food just hoping they will eat one of them ..   It is very frustrating .

I have Mosi on Pro plan Healthy Metabolism Chicken /gravy wet food as well. She also eats the Chicken and Rice wet. I only give her one wet meal a day and three dry Acana and Orijen with water. If I feel she is not drinking enough then I will add a wet meal for a day or two. I know the Pro Plan has a bunch of junk, but she won't eat any other wet food and i rather feed the better ingredient dry more. She is extremely fussy with new batches too. I have to use parmesan topper for a few days.

I wonder what is going on with Fancy Feast? The grilled wet has almost the exact ingredients as Pro Plan. Her Pro Plan comes from plant #1160 and i believe FF grilled chicken/ gravy and Purina One ( she used to eat both)comes from plant #1162 ...maybe there is a problem at that plant?

If your cats are happy and healthy on the dry then stay with it!

I am not sure what the issue is with the FF ..  For now my cats are doing really well on the Purina One Healthy Metabolism kibble  so I will leave it at that . They even have a hard time with some kibble ..

Thank you ..  I just have to let them eat the kibble for awhile and let their tummys calm down .    I may try something like  Wellness Kitten  Pate .
I think it's a good idea to let their stomachs calm down. And, for what it's worth, Edwina and Ireland highly recommend Wellness's Core kitten food -- I still buy it for them every now and then as a treat.

Good luck!

Mixing 2 dry foods together (new and old) to acclimate them to the new without stomach upsets works for both of my cats. If they do pick out the old first, they will still eat the new when they get hungry enough. Just leave it there and nothing else. They will eat it! You don't give up and just take it away! Give it time. It's not going to go bad!

Not my cats .  If they don't like it they will not eat it . I won't let them go hungry either ..  Anyway the kibble is not the issue they are pretty happy with what they are eating now ..

Mixing old/new food works with wet food too. They won't go hungry! They'll eat before that happens. In addition to my own cats, I have suggested this to friends with finicky cats and it worked well. They didn't realize they were making their cats sick by just putting new food in front of them. When they tried mixing, no more vomit or diarrhea. I wouldn't tell people about this if I hadn't tried it myself first. Maybe your cats are different or you just don't believe it's better for the animal!

I am glad it works for you but it does not mean it wil work for all cats .   I know my cats and I always do what is best for them ..

Mixing two canned foods doesn't usually work for our cats, either. I sometimes try it with leftovers, which I've found they'd much rather eat with a topper than mixed up.

Sorry to have bothered you. You're right, all cats are different but hopefully this will help someone else who didn't realize abrupt changes in food can make some cats sick. My friends are forever grateful to me for clueing them in...it worked for them! Good luck to you and your cats!

You're right about mixing the wet foods...I put the new wet food over the old as a topper. I didn't get into that cause I didn't think you'd be interested. I never give "people" food leftovers, though, except for Tuna liquid from canned Tuna as a kind of treat when I open a can of Tuna for a salad or casserole. They like that! Cats are funny creatures for sure and they like what theiy like and turn their noses up at what they don't like. I think that's one reason I love them so much! They're a lot like me with food...there are certain things I would'nt eat if my life depended on it ((like liver)! Ugh!!!
