So they're is ALOT of kitten movement and I can actually see like the outline of the kittens at times and they aren't as small as I thought. About a week I started to notice this. Does anyone know when they start to nest? I haven't seen any signs of it, and I'm really sure she'll have them this weekend. She usually just sits on the windowsill and sleeps for hours at a time. And also I'm guessing 5-6 kittens now. It's really nerve racking to figure out when the " big day " is. Her stomach has like little waves every now and then. Any other things I should look out for?

Once you see the kittens moving you have 2-3 weeks to go.  She won't use the nesting boxes until she is ready to give birth.

Is her stomach rippling fairly steadily?

And many cats do not select a nest until they are almost ready to give birth. Do you have places set up for her that she knows about?

It's like off and on rarely, and yes I have a few places set up, but she won't go near them.

What you are seeing is probably just kitten movement. When she begins contractions in earnest, the ripples will be steady. She will pick het nest when her time comes, and it may or may not be one you've set up. :)

Yeah, who knows really where. We let her outside, but supervised so she doesn't leave to have the kittens outside somewhere

I'm just curious. What do ppl mean when they say 'supervised while outside'?  I have a 6ft privacy fence in my yard and my can can scale it on be  gone in no time.  Do you have her on a leash?

@catluvr101  Here is a link to the tutorial on how to upload videos and photographs.   Hopefully it will help.  You should see the picture uploading bar and then at the bottom of the page there is a button to click on for the process to complete.

Handsome Kitty is correct in saying that picture posts can sometimes be held up by the system until a moderator checks them but we do try to check regularly.

Thanks guys. Here's an update: lots of kitten movement. I can see outlines of kittens. She has been pretty calm this afternoon. Breathing is really fast, then slow. Of and on. Probably normal though. Thanks for all the help and advice, really helps(;

That's the hardest part about it, but it's all worth to see a cute litter of kittens

Update: No kittens yet. But I've noticed a bit of dried milk possibly on her teats. No signs of nesting at all. She keeps wanting to go outside and just hang out there. Thanks again everyone for the help/ advice!
