Ok my husband will be home soon so I will run up to the pharmacy and get some ive just gave Venus some KMR and she drank 80mils really quick so should I keep feeding her it too? Will it help with her milk production?

Yes, ask at a pharmacy. Even your vet could give you a 1ml syringe - no needles, obviously. It's tedious one drop at a time, but they need it!

Yes, mama cats love formula usually, and it helps her milk production and nutrient levels. Give it to her until the kittens are weaned and her milk dries up. Mama needs lots of extra nourishment to nurse those babies, and plenty of water and wet food. Glad to hear you're getting a syringe. Let us know how it goes!

Thank goodness you took action, and glad he suckled mama too! Yes, hourly for now is good until he perks up and gains considerable weight. You are doing a great job!

It's actually pretty common for them to lose weight the first day or so, but the one who is limp needs constant monitoring.

You will no way get any baby to take a bottle as long as they have mom to nurse from.

So this is why the syringe can be used, just be patient and tummy down, slowly drop a couple drops at a time in to the cheek area, but be VERY careful, watch that breathing, one tiny drop inhaled and it's pneumonia and death.

I do think that mom moved them because there is too much commotion where they were, this is very important for mom to be content with nursing them, she wants quiet and privacy, and will spend more time with them too.

Supplementing, you will feed 2 mls every 3 hours or so, watching for weight gain, if you see none in the first 24 hours, feed 3 mls each time.

Yeah.  Of all these, its only this of 10g ain who is somewhat out of the woods.  All the others its alert on!  red respective yellow alert.   Red on these who go down, yellow on these stading still....

I dont remember what kmr you do have.

Can you get raw goat milk?   Its a nice addition, may be the difference in difficuld, byzantine unclear cases.  I suspect they its forbidden to sell raw milk in the usul shops, as its unpasterized. So you must probably go by the word of mouth.  Ie ask around.  Use friends of friends, somebody must know some goat farmer who uses to sell raw milk to people who wants.

If the kmr you give momma is costly, you can consider goat milk instead.  For her its ok with bottled, full fat goat milk.   Having the raw for the kittens.

It looks like she may be developing mastitis; hard to say for certain. But, that may explain why kittens are not thriving.

Can you perhaps call a vet & email the pictures of her nipples? Hopefully your hubby can find a way to help as much as possible. It's a lot of work, but their lives depend on it. I think the more you feed the kittens the easier it will become. :)

I hope for all the best with your kittens. But I must warn you, even with the most careful care, they may not all make it. You can only keep them comfortable and try to feed them and keep them happy. I really do hope they all make it. It is so very hard when you lose a kitten.
