That's exactly what Daisy was like in the first few days, she wouldn't leave the box unless I was there watching over the babies, even waking me up in the night (the box was on my bed for the first 3 days and nights as she wanted to be right next to me) by putting just her front paws out of the box onto my face and meowing until I woke up, only once I sat up with my hand in the box did she go off to use litter tray, it was very sweet but thankfully only lasted those 3 days until she moved them to another box I had set up
