I like Oliver, but my other half isn't sold on it.

I ordered him a Snuggle Kittie today, so hopefully he won't feel as lonely.

His eyes are almost all the way open now. And he voids on his own. Pretty well whenever and wherever he feels like it.
Of course we still potty him but I guess he decides when he has to go!

He also likes to do his "swimming" moves when we feed him. I'll have to get a video of it. Anybody else have a bottle baby that did that?

Turns out I *DID* get Babycat Royal Canin food!
I'll have to get the Babycat wet food instead of just the kitten stuff, but I've got some time.

All the kitties are back to normal for the most part, other than the odd hiss/growl from my bossy girl, Lydia. Mama Iris (AKA Babymama or Fatty-Boom-Batty) won't take this little gaffer back (I have tried!), but we can hear her other two babies mewing under the tub, where she is spending most of her time. She won't have any of the KMR I make for her, though.

He will be two weeks old on Wednesday.

He's really into climbing our bodies when we hold him. He still doesn't walk too well and I suspect he may have been the runt of the three, although they were all so teeny-tiny. Once he can see and hear I think he will be quite the troublemaker!

Aww I'm so glad you've now heard the other kittens so you know they are safe and well, sounds like this little one is doing well, mine are 2 weeks old today and don't walk well, that's pretty normal and I think it's a while yet till they stand completely upright and walk properly so don't worry about that, mine have just started playing in the last day or so and swiping each other or trying to jump on each other and its so cute :D:D

Awe, I wish our little guy had his siblings to play with!
My in-laws are hopefully coming over this week sometime to help us get the other two kittens out of their hidey-hole. I'm worried about them falling out into the basement. Dad is good with tools and they're animal lovers like we are (Mom actually wants this kitten and was trying to talk dad into it), so I think we can move them to safety. Mama may not be happy with us, but if she abandons them, too, what are two more bottle babies to feed?

Unrelated, and I'm sure all of you have seen this, but I think this lady is pretty wicked awesome. I want to go to her house soooo bad! Pet ALL the cats and dogs! Also, a quote from the video describes my life - "When I was a child all I ever wanted was a kitten, and my mom would not let me have one...So, she's sorry now."

Ah that will be better to have them out where you can check on them, maybe once you can actually put this one in with the others she may take him back? If not at least you'll be able to give him time with his siblings, have you got any more pics of him?

Exactly that kind of face! His formula was too hot and he was not pleased with having to wait.

The bathroom probably isn't the best place, as it's super small and we'd be lucky if a trap even fit in there!

But we are going to see if we can borrow a live trap from the Animal Rescue close-ish to here. They have a "Barn Buddy" adoption program that might be good for mama cat, if she still doesn't get used to us. We're also planning to build kitty shelters for next winter and try to rig up our garage so any strays can be safe in there.
It's hard when your neighbors really don't like cats though.

Thank-you, I'm hoping we really are doing alright! We still haven't officially named him, either.
He looks like he might be trying to open his eyes, though, even though this is only day six! He does REALLY hate to be pottied, though. REALLY hates it. But at least he goes.

So when we do start to feed him solid food, does anyone have any good recommendations? We live in a town in BFN, and have to drive an hour and a half to get anywhere near any big stores that would have lots of variety (although the next town East has a store that carried KMR!). We feed both wet and dry to our other five cats, and they are free-fed as I work strange hours sometimes and my boyfriend is not always home at the right times for scheduled feeds. After reading the article about increasing kitty's water intake (http://www.thecatsite.com/t/267399/tips-to-increase-your-cats-water-intake) though, I am considering feeding more wet than dry. Especially for kitten, because I want him to grow up and be healthy like he deserves!

I cannot thank all of you enough for all the advice and support; I would have been totally lost without you guys!
You could starts with a little when he's 4 weeks. What we gave him was this one: http://www.royalcanin.us/products/p...line-health-nutrition-wet/babycat-instinctive

We mixed this with water and gave it to him with his bottle.  I don't think you have to mix it with water, but we did it to slowly adjust him. This way you can also start before you stop giving him milk; for instance from his 3rd week, give him some meals with milk and some with the mousse.

You could start giving him dry food from when he's 4 weeks as well, but we waited until he was 8, because I knew he was stupid enough to choke..

@withoutaname Thanks for the advice! I bought the Kitten Instinctive wet food by accident, but I will get some Babycat wet food next time we're in the city. :) I did get the Babycat dry, but I think I will also wait awhile to start him on dry, as he already tried to swallow the bottle nipple whole, and I can see him choking.

Oh he's just so cute, funnily enough when the kittens were first born I said they looked more like hamsters than cats lol, they're looking more and more cat like each day now though :D
