Gifts are always good. But now I have to empty my PM inbox daily

I should start something like gift-givers anonymous for you

I'll try to go easy on you for a few days then. You might miss an important message.

We have a restaurant that gives seniors fifty percent off on Monday nights and Wednesday nights. Even better, the food there is wonderful. Hubby and I eat most meals for $9.85 plus tip for waitress.

When I'm 64 is my most requested song when I sing karaoke

When I get older, Losing my hair
Many years from now
Will you still be sending me a valentine?
Birthday greetings, Bottle of wine?
If I'd been out till quarter to 3 would you lock the door?
Will you still need me, Will you still feed me?
When I'm 64

I sing Beatles songs almost exclusively (and trust me, a lot of them are no where near as easy to sing as they sound), though I also do Kansas, Jethro Tull and Elton John.

My next birthday I'll be 43, my husband will be 32
I live with fibromyalgia though, THAT will make you feel old very quickly

1945 was a good year.

I was born just around the same time that War II was won.

My dad hadn't seen me yet. (he's still alive and strong)

In fact I was born before he even found out because he was on a ship half way around the world.

Have you heard the Rutles' take-off of that song?

Back in '64

I actually like it better!

Do you mean your Dad came back from the war and "Suprise!" he had a child?

I'm so old that when I went to school there was no history.

He knew a baby was on the way, but just didn't hear of my arrival until much later. I was several months old before we "met", which probably was (is) a common story among many solders. Dad was in the Air Force, but somehow was on a ship being transferred to another location/air base.

There were massive numbers of soldiers and Air Force guys (who were, at that time, actually in the Army) on their way from Europe to the Pacific when the war suddenly ended, due to the use of the atomic bombs on Japan. It took a number of months to get that all sorted out.
