They say the temp. is not a good way to know. But that's ok, we'll wait for her to pop. Lol. I still think it will be in the next few days.

Really because every site that I've read says their temp drops below 100 if they are going into labor. Who knows? I've begun to think that they go into labor when they want and will hold off on labor when they aren't ready.

I don't think the temperature is always accurate because with my foster Boots(the one that had 8) we took her into the vets the day she gave birth, and they took her temperature, said it was normal, and gave us some meds for her. Then about an hour after that, she went into labor and popped a kitten within a half hour! But I think that may have been to do with the stress of going to the vet...

I know. Alot of sites say the temp is the best sign but others say it's unreliable. I don't know. Baby Girl's temp was down 24-48 hours before labor. Maybe more. I think they show their own signs. Each cat is a bit different. Baby Girl didn't do half the pre-labor signs. She ate some (not much) during labor but she refused water. I think the biggest thing is to watch the cat for her to act different. It's good to know the signs but don't rely on them.

Zoe did the same thing- she ate while in labor!
Other than the milk, she didn't really show any signs of labor at all...oh well!

Baby Girl has always liked to sleep on her back. I'm noticing that Molly does too. Lol. Can you see how Baby Girl's fur sparkles in the light? I don't even want to think about having to give them up.

Www! They're adorable!!
Molly looks just like a mini Baby Girl! What a little sweetie
I can't wait until Zoe's get a bit bigger and start playing! They're so cute at that age! Baby Girl's beautiful by the way!

I have kitten envy! Everyone is having their kittens but Carly. I guess she'll pull a Zoe and have them past due and have huge kittens.

I thought Baby Girl would be last to have hers. I never thought she'd go first. It's not much fun right now. All they do is eat and sleep. Mama doesn't let us hold them. Lol. But that's ok, I can watch and look at the babies.

Carly is going to have hers soon. I still say by Wednesday. Aparantly this is the week for babies. Zoe had hers yesterday, Mom-E had hers today, tomorrow would be great for Carly to have hers.

How is she acting?

She's fine today. I will take a picture of her later on and post if for you. She hasn't really grown anymore. I think she's probably ready to have kittens. I'm ready for her not to be so fat that she cannot use the litterbox correctly. I have to clean up a mess everyday from her getting poop stuck to her and dragging it all over my restroom.

I took her temp and it was 100.6 so that's normal again. Maybe tomorrow.

Let me ask you guys a question. At what point did they start going into their nest and staying there? Was it 24 hours before they had kittens or beyond that or just before? I went to check on Carly and she was laying down inside her litterbox. As you know that is my biggest fear that she will give birth in there so I went and got the medium sized dog crate we have in the garage and cleaned that up and put a towel in there for her. She investigated it and seemed to like that it's covered but later I found her in the cardboard box that I have set up in our linen closet. I am guessing it's close if she's looking for the spot but I just can't stop worrying that it will some how happen in the litterbox.

Well, the nesting is a good sign- it really varies from cat to cat. Molly was nesting for a week, and Kiki never looked at a nest until a couple hours before birth
. It's good that she has a couple options for now. Is the litter clumping? If it isn't, her having them in ther litter box isn't the biggest deal, it would just be a little messy...and chances are that won't happen. If you can tell she's in labor, then you'll be able to see if she knows what she's doing.
Come on Carly!

Baby Girl looked around as if she was looking for a spot to nest but never really nested. She stayed in the living room for the most part during labor and then went in her room for stage 2 of the labor. She never went into the nesting box until after the first 2 were born.
