    Lilith Update

Awww I love that proud look they give, it means she will be an absolutely beautiful Mum! My girl is like that, her babies are 6 weeks and they are just lovely, so gentle and friendly. A birman x ragdoll, definitely the best of both worlds :) Congratulations!!

    pregnant cat still mating???

I have a queen who is strictly an inside cat. When I was new to breeding she was 5 weeks pregnant and my friends came by and she accidentally got outside, her already being pregnant I wasn't too concerned because she would never wander far. All of a sudden we heard what sounded like a cat fight...

Anyone else's cat interested in water?

Cats love to drink from running or moving water so often they stick their paws in the bowls and swish it about then drink, otherwise a running tap, a glass, the sink etc. My cats do not fear water at all. My queen birman demands to get in the shower with me, dips her entire head under a running...

To bathe or not to bathe?

You don't need to bathe them unless they can't clean themselves for some reason or if you are going to show them or a small kitten might struggle. My cats LOVE water but I don't bathe unless necessary, its better just to brush them and leave them to it, even with allergies I would ask your vet...

    Kitten changing fur color?

Totally normal, my kittens change constantly, pure white when they are born and develop their colouring over time and don't reach their adult colouring until about 3 years of age.

Can I leave my 4 month old kitten alone for 10 days?

I wouldn't do it, get a house sitter, or take her to a friends or your parents or put her in a cattery, leave her somewhere she will be cared for and fed well.

    Natures Miracle?

Citrus Smells they hate, orange/lemon peels left around, make sure you clean the area thoroughly after they pee someone undesired and then spray some deodorizer on the spots so she or he isn't tempted to do it again.

    Toys for an Adult Cat

You can buy tonnes of super expensive toys but mine just enjoy strings, fabric mice, to change things up a little cat nip is always exciting, otherwise they do like the circuit sensormatic toy, but keep it simple, my indoor cats are so happy with what they have.

    Advantage, revolution, or frontline????

ADVOCATE is best, I have tried everything and this tops them.

Multiple cats - Clumping or non-clumping litter?

I breed birmans and 2 litters I have been advised NOT to use are clumping and crystal. Kittens eat a lot of litter, you know how babies are, everything goes in the mouth! Clumping accumulates in their stomach as they can't pass it and crystal litter contains toxins that can kill a kitten...

What words does your cat know?

Oh how lovely! I like to do hand signals with my cats too, I think it gives you a really special bond with them. Reading about your bond with your deaf baby is so touching and made my day. Thank you for that :)

when will kittens open eyes and ears

On average their eyes open 7 - 10 days old, but I have had as early as 4 and as late as 14, they will do it when they are good and ready, just be patient and DO NOT under any circumstance force them. Sometimes its hard to wait but its worth it :)

What words does your cat know?

I think they recognise a lot. I train my cats to understand hand signals (they always get rewarded for good behaviour) but a lot of the time they recognise tone of voice more than the word itself.

    Budget EFFECTIVE flea meds?

I have tried them all, the most effective is Advocate and I would recommend that to all, applied to the neck every month and it does some forms of worms as well. I don't like frontline and my cat acted like it burnt her so needless to say will NOT be buying that again!

Litter pans.. How often to replace?

I have had the same one for 2 and a half years, The plastic is a little scratched up at the bottom but it is fine. I scrub it every couple of days with a regular scrubbing brush hot water and a tiny with sensitive skin laundry powder. As long as you keep it hygienic you don't need to get a new...

    Meet my cat! :D

I agree with the Norwegian Forest Cat, my sister has a tortie and white NFC/Turkish Van cross and she looks very similar but has a larger mane but I'm sure she has a far better nature than my sisters cat! Does she like water?

    Are they Bengal kittens?

They could have some snow Bengal in them but they look pretty much like domestic tabbies to me.
