Experience With Uti (or Similar Symptoms)?

She was spayed long time ago. She is now about 11 yo. There was no blood on the bed and not sure if the color was yellow as the duvet cover was cream and grey.... she peed on our bed for the first time about 6 weeks ago when we were away on holiday. back then I thought it was behavioral as the...

Experience With Uti (or Similar Symptoms)?

She did a poop but under a lot of pain. I'm just worried about the blood. The vet said it is normal for UTI, but the blood oozed out without her trying to pee at the time... there were about 3 finger nail sized drops in her carrier...

Experience With Uti (or Similar Symptoms)?

Soleil peed on our bed today and I initially put it off as a behavioral issue as the cleaner was here at the time. But then I saw her straining to pee for about 3-5 minutes at a time in the garden and in the litterboxes. She was also in lots of discomfort when pooping (very vocal and straining)...

Natural, Low Tracking Litter (uk Based)

Just came back from the vet and it looks like the peeing incident is a UTI. Might stick with the litter I have for a while and see if things get better. But thanks for the input. Never heard of the first two and heard mixed reviews of the World's best one. I'll look into them!

Natural, Low Tracking Litter (uk Based)

Hi, I'm in the UK so not all brands that are available in the US are available here. I order on zooplus Pet Supplies at zooplus Online Pet Shop, Pet Food & Pet Accessories. I used Cat's Best (wood based clumping) for the longest time and it has the best odor control I find. The downside is that...

Suddenly Super Picky After 13 Years.. "stale" Food Issue?

Looks like it was just the heat and her being a princess. All the blood works are good and she started eating a bit more again. Yesterday she played princess again but eventually ate her food.

Suddenly Super Picky After 13 Years.. "stale" Food Issue?

I told them about the appetite. They did a blood test incl checking thyroid function and a cardiac scan as they previously heard a heart murmur, but they don't think the lack of appetite has anything to do with the heart. When I get the results of the cardiac scan I will ask about it. would that...

Suddenly Super Picky After 13 Years.. "stale" Food Issue?

Hi, Singa has started becoming more and more picky the older she gets and I am now at wits' end. background for those who are interested: She was on dryfood for the longest time but started vomiting blood so Vet put her on RC sensitive wet food. she ate that, but usually not the full...

    The Thing With Mice....

Sorry didn't any other category to put this under... Soleil brought home her first mouse about a month or so ago. Still alive and kicking she let the mouse go in our hallway and we had to let her chase it as we could never have managed to catch it. Because we didn't a live mouse (or any for...

    I Want Another One...

I got Soleil when Singa was 1.5 years old because I thought she needed a friend. Worst decision I could have made. Don't get me wrong - I love both unconditionally and wouldn't trade them for the world, but it was a selfish decision and not in Singa's interest. She fell into a depressed state...

Meowing In The Middle Of The Night

I feel for you. One of mine does that on occasion and practically sings us a song in the middle of the night. We call her, she comes, we snooze off and she starts all over again. I have not found any miracle cure for it, but I try to make sure she get enough food and loving before we go to bed...

    Is This Normal Behavior

Perfectly normal. My two ladies (11 and 13) play fight all the time and they sometimes tell each other when they had enough through hissing and growling. Mind you that doesn't often stop them from taking turns tackling each other. When it gets serious you will know. It is a very different type...

    Firework Reaction, Any Suggestions?

We used to turn up the TV or music on high and make sure the cats are with us. If they still freaked they usually hid under the bed to which I followed and spoke gently to them. 4 years on they don't care anymore unless someone uses fire crackers right in front of our door.

Helping Ng Aterra The Cat Feel More Confident In Her Now Home

I doubt know if this helps but could you have both cat and dog treats when they are on close proximity? I know for cat to cat intro I had to make them feel comfy eating in front too each other. Rewards to both of them for being close to each other and keeping cool could send them both positive...

Cat Freaked Out By Own Reflection

Not sure if the cow hide has a smell. They have taken the cow hide into their car for now and bought a calming spray which is helping a bit. They are planning to paste frosted film over the shiny surfaces as well. Unfortunately when he is fixated on his reflection he does not react to treats or...
