Cat partially pooped outside litter box

Hi all, I would appreciate some advice on how urgent you think this is. I came home from work today and my cat (~2 year old female) had pooped a bit in the room adjoining the room with her litter box. I scooped the box and there was a fairly large poop inside that seemed normal texture (I...

Cat scared of own tail - feline hyperesthesia?

I do have a video but it is not super good - it has been hard to accurately get on film. The first time it happened was the worst - he was biting his tail and his eyes were HUGE and he did act like he didn't know me, but since that first time it has been much more mild - he stares at his tail...

Cat scared of own tail - feline hyperesthesia?

He is a very anxious cat in general! But I guess it just seems like he should have calmed down by now? Normally he bounces back very quickly. Maybe not, I know cats can be very sensitive but even with the gabapentin it doesn't seem to help much except make him really sleepy. The stress still...

    Patchy hair on cat’s ears

In the past week or so it seems like my cat has been losing some hair on her ears. She’s about 1.5 years old and had ringworm about a year ago that cleared up officially in November, so I’m always a bit on edge when I notice any hair loss - this doesn’t seem to be presenting like her ringworm...

    Ringworm anxiety

I’m seeking some advice regarding ringworm recurrence! How likely is it to happen? What level of exposure can cause it? The fact spores can live for 2 years… do I just have to wait it out to be fully confident? Earlier this year I adopted 2 cats, one of which gave ringworm to the other. The...

    Ringworm help

Thank you so much!! He tested positive once on PCR, followed by a negative culture, PCR and wood’s lamp, and never showed any symptoms or had any hair loss at all. I’m going to get both of them tested once more just to be sure before I reintroduce them (as I’ve been isolating them separately).

    Ringworm help

I’ve been dealing with ringworm in my now 8 month old female cat for almost 2 months now and was wondering if anyone has any advice! I adopted my cat and a few months after adopted my second (a male, 7 months) who had a history of ringworm, but the shelter assured me he had two negative cultures...
