    Digging At Smooth Surfaces

My cat does exactly the same thing. She "digs" at herself in any mirror she can find, and meows loudly while she does it. She also does it on other standing hard surfaces. I was worried at first too, but definitely just cats being cats :redtabby:

    Cat Skittish?

Have you had him neutered? This could be the cause of the new behavior if you have not.

    Is Dry Food Alone Okay?

That is great advice. I have another kind of wet food I have not tempted her with yet... perhaps that will work!

    Is Dry Food Alone Okay?

Thank you all for your advice. Maybe I will try raw with her. I'd like to keep feeding her dry as she enjoys it (and so does my wallet!) but I want her to be the most healthy and think it's best if there is some kind of combination. Any resources/advice on raw feeding on a budget? Thank you!

    Is Dry Food Alone Okay?

Thank you for all this! Does the tuna provide any of the benefits that wet food does? I even add a little extra water to it. I want her to be as healthy as possible, but even tuna-flavored fancy feast does not appeal. I have noticed her drinking a good amount of water- I have a regular bowl and...

    You can't see me!

Jackie's new favorite place- underneath the blanket I put on the couch, to keep her off the couch :insertevillaugh: Guess my plan didn't work, but she looks so cute peeping out from underneath while she tries to get in between the cushions, I have to forgive her.

Need Advice On A New Shelter Cat

If kitty likes the girls room, I think you're right in putting the box there! I adopted a cat recently and she hid in my walk-in closet for a couple of days. I put everything she needed in there, and after she began coming out of the closet on her own, I gradually moved her box, food, water...

    Advice Before Things Get Worse...

Thanks for sharing your story. It sounds like you're doing a great job integrating your new kitty. It's hard to not feel defeated, but, as you said, patience is key. My only advice is keep doing what you're doing!Sitting with her and talking softly, showing her your love- it will pay off! Know...

    Is Dry Food Alone Okay?

Hi everyone. I adopted Jackie O about a week and a half ago and she has adjusted beautifully. My ongoing question is that she won't eat her wet food. Her foster mom gave me the fancy feast that she had been eating, along with her dry food. She quickly adapted to eating the dry food in her new...
