You are very welcome. Let me know if these meds worked. Also make sure they have access to plenty of water at all times when they have a cold. Good luck!
That was a wonderful post and thread and quite informative. I am really supportive of your passion and think you know what you are doing.
First, I am just going to some stuff in here for others as well (since this thread is newer and bound to get views).
1. Crating is not cruel! I cannot...
Just got my 3rd and thinking that some years down the line I will end up with more (till now the rate has been one / 2 years). So I was just curious when do people start thinking 'this guy/ girl has a lot of cats' (can totally be in a good way)?
Depends on training (and some genetic disposition). Cross out those with a high prey drive (setters come to mind). I have a basset hound who gets his tail chewed by my resident queen and doesn't mind it one bit.
Also goldens and labs work great. Except I know of a particular lab who loved cat...
Don't quote me on this but I think you should be fine. L-lysine is great for RTI (or colds) especially if they are stress colds. Same with respo k. I think your cat probably has a sniffle. IMO lysine works way better but you can safely try both.
My cats love them, then chew the hell out of them, and get busy with the next 'big' thing. For some reason, they have no affection towards any tennis balls (maybe too heavy?)
Awesome! thanks for getting back to me.
Eating or drinking---never in front of me. Sometimes he just sits in a corner all day. I pay him a visit a few times (say 4 hours apart) and I see him in that same corner where he was before. He does not eat dry food at all...does seem to at least eat...
I wonder too. Logically 'outside' should present more difficulty and challenge. I have a suspicion that the gladness/ happiness may just be due to an 'escape' from human presence but apparently this is not so.
I can't figure it out really. But I am glad all the same.
This was a most wonderful answer! Thank you so much! I thoroughly agree with you and I would very much like to hear your step by step solution. I wish the admins could make this a 'sticky' so everyone who needs help can read your answers.
As you said, some of the 'breeders' do not have the best...
