Interesting! Gosh it almost makes me wish I had Facebook. I kept a log for several years on Nat's seizures but could never identify a clear pattern. The only thing that stood out is the time of year. He seemed most prone to them in January, March and June for some reason. The first year it happened Nat stopped seizures completely, without any meds at all, on July 4 2012. He just stopped, completely. His vet, the one he bit, called him a conundrum and just gave up on him, but told me to still keep a record. He didn't have one seizure for 6 months, then started up in January 2013, stopped in March that year and he went for 1 year and 3 months with no seizures. They started back in June 2014, stopped in July 2014, started back in January 2015, stopped with meds after an ICU visit and phenobarb pills, started back in March 2015 and that was when they increased his phenobarb to twice what it was and put it in liquid form. No seizures since.
how is he doing?
are you on facebook? Do you follow Andy Needs your help or that other huge group for another seizure kitty=they are in Maryland and I cant remember their names off the top of my head.
Andy has seizures due to water in the brain=entirely different scenario but she has lots of info of what she watchs for. she treats him every 5 hours with phneo whatever its called. I have heard her talk about that Kepp named drug as well. I think its a matter of messing around with doses and finding out what sets them off.
Andys are related to weather changes=especially air pressure-not sure if this helps at all. Hopefully someone plugs in the name of that other kitty that has a huge following-facebook is blocked from this computer so I cant search.
scratch that-its this: Super Hero The Hydrocephalic Cat and Zeke -
