Aww poor guy! I'm glad he's not vomiting anymore though. He's a cutie. I think you were meant to end up together too!

Oh and it's been a week and no response from the rescue. I'm not sure if I should contact them again or just give up? The fact that I signed a no health guarantee contact makes me feel like it's pointless. I was super niave, I read negative reviews and his adoption process was kind of a mess in of itself so I should have known better but I think we were ment to end up together.
Tiberius couldn't have landed in a better home, I am so glad he is so loved and taken care of so well

Thank you so much guys :]

At the moment Tiberius seems to be in agreement as he's curled up in my lap snoring up a storm, it's really quite ridiculous haha.

I'm so happy that the vomiting and diarrhea seem to have stopped too!

I have a theory, I'm not really sure if it's true but it's what I'm hoping:

Okay when his belly was swollen and the vet withdrew fluids she inspected the microbial ecology of his intestines. She said that his intestines were predominately lined with one type of bacteria which is extremely abnormal. I'm thinking maybe he had a really severe infection of the intestines which hopefully the antibiotic cleared out and the probiotics have been repopulating his digestive tract with healthy bacteria.

It's make sense with everything that has happened, and even explain some of the setbacks. It could be completely inaccurate though, or it could be only part of the problem only time will tell. Keep your fingers crossed!

Yes, actually your theory could be very accurate.

He's so darn cute to see him sporting his new cozy attire :))

That theory makes total sense to me, too. Fingers crossed that he continues to improve!

Thank you so much guys! These good vibes seem to be doing the trick!

He seems to be doing good still, no vomiting or diarrhea! He is also as hyper as I've ever seen him :]

He's started licking then nipping me when I don't pay enough attention to him which I don't appreciate so I yip NO, but it's not really a big deal. I'm not really upset but about but if anyone has any advice about that I'm all ears! I don't think it's aggressive, as he's very needy.

I sent the vet a couple pictures of his skin which is still pretty marked up. His back seems to be doing about the same or better, but his chin is losing hair and it really scabby. It may be time for oral meds, I'm waiting to see what she says in response. Considering we've been dealing with this since I got him in December I don't have a lot of hope he'll clear up without them but I would happily be proven otherwise. Even with them, I'm so paranoid I feel like we'll be doing bathes indefinitely.

Well update time!

Tiberius puked yesterday but aside from that he seems to be doing good. It was the first time he's puked in about a month or so, and still solid poo's so I'm not that concerned yet.

I went to the vet today pick up some more of his shampoo, wipes, prescription food, and probiotics then I went to the pharmacy to get oral meds for ringworm. Get this: the pharmacy asked me what his last name was! I nearly started laughing, thank goodness they didn't ask me for his DOB
He's starting itraconazole, it has been compounded into a chicken flavored liquid so that shouldn't  been to unpleasant for him I hope. I'm suppose to give it to him 1 week on then 1 week off for 5 weeks or so. I'm hoping this is the end of the ringworm!

Hope he continues to do well. I love the sweaters! How did you get him to not bite you when you put it on him? I tried harness training my young cat Honeybee my profile pic and she pretty much curled into a ball and bite and scratching hissing mess. So nope she doesnt tolerate anything like that..

Thank you!

Admittedly, I adore the sweaters too they're so cute (and they cover most of his ringworm lesions which makes me feel better)! And Tib's seems to like them as well. Truly, he doesn't try to remove them or anything. If he didn't like them, I wouldn't force him to wear them. Sometimes he grooms them, which is a little silly but that's all. When he was first shaved he was so cold he shivered and cried and wouldn't leave his bed, now he doesn't seem to mind although he has a definite preference for warm spots.

I think the fact that he likes them makes it easier to get him use to wearing them. He doesn't enjoy the process of putting them on and tries to bite me occasionally when I put his legs in the arm holes but it's pretty quick and once they're on he's good to guy. He is also fully declawed (I adopted him this way) so that helps too. And before the sweaters when he was doing better I began harness training him as well, I'd put the harness on him and then feed him his favorite food then take it off, so he was getting use to wearing stuff anyway.

I'm really lucky he is so easy to handle. I don't know if I would have been able to treat him if he wasn't, and he requires a TON of uncomfortable handling and bathing.

Your kitty is absolutely beautiful! So fluffy and adorable :]

Since she is young, she probably is more energetic than Tiberius so that may make her harder to work with, but again as a young cat I'd think she'd adapt quickly once use to it. Food seems to be a good motivator, especially if she likes treats,

Thank you for asking, I've been meaning to update but things are pretty much the same.

He seems to be doing well, no vomiting or diarrhea although his stool is a bit soft. He's eating really well, I think he may be getting a little chubby! Haha I know that's not good, but after being so skinny it's really reassuring. I can't convince him that his prescription wet food is edible unless I mix it with some Friskies and then he'll only nibble on it, but he likes the dry so I'm calling it good for now.

He adores sitting in the window and I think the light may be good for the ringworm so he hasn't been wearing sweaters. His coloring has changed so much with being shaved! His body was a soft cream and now he's grey! I don't really care, I think the genetics is amazing, although he feels a bit picky lol.

Aww I love the sweater!! Looks Good!!

I wouldnt worry about the Friskeys=we want them to eat-so you are doing the right thing-mixing half and half..then slowly make it less friskeys and more prescription food that shields the taste for now

I know I'm so thrilled it's not FIP! Before they drew they fluid they were basically trying to prepare me for it. I actually burst out crying at the vets office, I think they probably think I'm a loon but they're so sweet they handle it well.

Additionally I think I forgot to mention that she felt around his belly a good deal and she was unable to locate any tumors. She warned me that he could still have some deep inside but I feel better knowing there's nothing obvious.

They prescribed him pro viable but I'm guessing it works about the same way. He does have the worst gas! @gizmocat I how he recovers as well a your Louie that gives me hope. Yes I'm sure he definitely has something going on, I'm just hoping it's something he can live with.

I also wish I knew what was causing the lesions. He doesn't have any claws (I adopted him this way) so I'm doubtful it's scratching but I suppose it could be?
They are used to people crying in the surgery. Nothing to feel embarrassed

Isn't his last name the same as yours?
