It is not normal for one ear to grow differently, they are in perfect symmetry.

The one thing that can cause an ear to change or appear smaller is when there is an infection or ear mites for instance that goes untreated the ear will shrivel and/or fold over.

Like cauliflower ear.

She is learning to clean herself - wonderful! Sometimes they bite at or pull at something. It's just what cats do.

I have 6-month-old kittens, one of whom has teethed on my fingers from day one. And that is what it is - teething. Except now I think my little female who does it is actually trying to "nurse" my fingers - lol.

As for the ear, I agree with Artiemom, no big deal. She can hear, so who cares? No one is going to make fun of her at school for it :).

Glad it's a good day!

I would suggest that you don't allow her to bite or nibble or chew your hands, you are the only mother figure she will remember and you have to set boundaries early or she will continue to do what she's always done but with adult cat teeth, it'll be quite painful. I learned that myself the hard way. Try to give her a safe stuffed toy that is machine washable that she can cuddle and chew. Give her that toy when she goes after your hands.

She definitely has cauliflower ear :( is there anything I can do? Cauliflower ear can be caused by excessive shaking of the head when fleas are biting. No more fleas, but she did shake her head a lot and still does from time to time.

On the bright side, she finally pooped (she hadn't done a good one in 48 hours) not only was it tooth paste like but it was brownish! Yay kitten poop!!!

Today Paul really wanted to see Ollie so I monitored there interaction. He laid down and watched her. She toddler over and this happened...

At one point Ollie tried to climb him and he gave her a soft but firm kick with his back foot. He is a good manners teacher :)

Aww, that's sweet. I'm glad Paul lets Ollie get close. It's good for both of them :).

Paul looks very similar to my James and Mittens, son and mother kitties that live outside. I also have a kitty named Paul but his tail is just dipped in white. I am very glad Paul and Ollie and getting along well, it'll be good for her to have a cat to teach her how to be a cat.

It's amazing how sweet he has been. To put it in perspective my husband got me the sweetest kitten for our one year aniversary (when we were dating) and when paul saw her he literally tried to kill her. It was devistating when we took her back. Paul just wasn't ready then I guess. We called the kitty Yoko before we returned her...
Im so proud of Pauly, he is being a great big brother :)

Thank you Paulthecat!!

this was my morning smile!!!!   I really needed to start the day with a smile. I have to admit this is the first thread I visit, each time I am on this website. I love hearing updates and knowing how Ollie is doing.

Amazing how good Paulie is....and Ollie is so adorable; growing in leaps and bounds!!

Never apologize for posting pictures!!

I think I can say this for a few people: We feel as if we are Olllie's  'adopted' parents also..

Paulie is very gentle with her. She does need an adult cat to train her properly. So it is awesome how they get along.

Possibly Paulie knows how much you love the little one..and you have done such a good job by not ignoring Paulie, during this journey...

Ohhhhhh!

You have decided to change her name to Molly?  A great name...

He features are really starting to show now..

She is always so awed in each picture...I could just pick her up and cuddle all day with her...how can you resist the temptation to do so?? willpower!

Her eyes are so wide opened in each picture..

Paul is being a good cat with her. Of course his patience will be a bit short at times..but he is doing great with Molly...

love, love, love, the updates....

Yeah my husband liked the name Molly and it's such a sweet name and she is a very very sweet girl. I know it's a common name but it fits her so well.
She is a mommy's girl all the way. Tries to follow me when I leave the room and always stares at me when I hold her.
When do kittens start to play? She is 4 weeks old and I bought her some little feather toys and mice but she has no interest. She only wants to lay on her back and watch her feet, lol.

She will begin exploring more soon. Actual playing evolves over time. Mine explored and tussled with each other first. They began more real playing around with balls and mice around 10-12 weeks. Some of it depends on personality too. My female kitten has never played to the same extent as her 3 brothers! She's just very low-key.

My darling first cat, Softy, would bring her toys to bed when I was sleeping. I'd feel her leaping around with joy. I just grumbled and sent back to sleep. She was 4 months old.

Molly is doing very well! She has grown so much and is now playing and trying to run.
However, she will not drink formula from a shallow bowl. She will only drink from her bottle. She is 5 weeks old and I don't know what to do! Sarthur2 Sarthur2 do you or anyone else have tips or tricks? I even have paul eating right next to her and she watches him.... then sits in his food and stares at him. It's pretty funny but frustrating.
