I gained 1 pound 15 oz (900gms).in 4 days. I feel very privileged to have been taken on a wonderful holiday and I'm very thankful. It's great to be home though, back to normal eating And :rub: of course to be home with the fur babies. :rub:

We we
Are you supposed to be weighing yourselves daily?
We weigh in weekly. Some of us weigh daily. The rules are not strict. I think it's more about supporting each other. It is for me anyway.
Good work everybody. Easter is a bit of a hurdle but we can keep it moderate!!

I'd find daily depressing. My eyes aren't good enough to see grams.
I once lost a ton of weight. Nerves mainly. I weighed myself weekly at a pharmacy wearing the same clothes and my mum had bought me some clothes size 16 and had to change them to 14, 12, 10 when she refused to change them again. I kept the weight off for years and then poof. Back it came and then some. Sigh

I had too much salty food, more than one carb at my reward meal (though I kept under my calorie allotment for each day), and not enough water.  So, grateful that I only gained .89 of a lb. last week.  I'm already down almost 3 lbs. from a sudden swing up, and expect things to go more smoothly again.

It's funny..if I stick to the balance of one carb with protein and low carb veg, I'm fine.  Let me have 1/4 serving of this, 1/2 of that plus this and up I go.  I've lost the almost 3 lbs. while having chocolate for dessert every day..shaking head.

I am maintaining. My nutrition plan works well for me too. I also highly recommend weight lifting. I am eating 2000 calories to maintain. That was working out two days a week with nothing in between. I'm going more by measurements now. They are all staying the same. I'm not sure how that works? I would imagine some measurements will get smaller? Maybe some bigger?

We can all do this. Keep strong everybody

I lost 2.89 lbs. this past week - so 2 lbs. plus the .89 I had gained last week.  Very happy with where I'm at!

Hi everybody!

I'm trying too, what helped most so far: low carbohydrate diet, no sweets, reduced fruits in favor of vegetables, as raw as possible, juicing when have time, practically no processed food (only meat, eggs, hard cottage cheese, seafood, vegetables, nuts from bulk food, coconut oil, flaxseed oil). Behavioral changes: being away from refrigerator, drastically reduced TV and no eating in front of TV, replacing carbohydrate snacks by vegetables or freshly made juice.

When I can keep up with it, it works, when not - gaining weight again.

Netflix has useful documentaries: Food Matters, Hungry for a Change, and Fat, Sick, Almost Dead.

Hi !

I just found this thread and I'm super interested. In the last few months I gained about 30-35lbs, and I'm definitely hoping to lose some of that weight. However, I'm trying not to obsess over the number so much as just focusing on my health.

Right now, I weight about 138lbs. I joined a gym and try to go at least 3 times a week. Plus, I've been eating a lot cleaner!

Despite all that hard work, I'm stuck. It has been more than 2-3 weeks. I haven't lost weight, I see no progress, and I'm really frustrated. I am a huge believer in loving yourself, but I've been having a hard time with my body image. I need to remind myself that I just want to be healthy. I'm always trying to change my thinking from "you're fat you need to lose weight" to "you're beautiful and you need to love your body".

Does anybody have any tips on what to do when you're frustrated at the lack of results and you just want to give up?

I'm still here..where is everyone?  I didn't have the best week in terms of daily weights - was up then down up then down.  But overall, my 7 day average is down .20 of a pound.  I'll take it!!

I was able to walk for 2 hours yesterday without sitting down, while touring a 26 acre area of rhodie gardens, bonsai etc. This would not have been possible last year this time.

Welcome 42cattier and raquelmarua15 :wavey:

I'm still here Pat. A loss is a loss Pat. You did well and yay! For enjoying the garden show  I'm still maintaining although I had a binge yesterday. That's not good. Not good at all however it has been over five weeks since my last binge.

Don't give up raquelmaria15 raquelmaria15 . You will get there. A lot of us use myfitnesspal to count calories. Maybe even though you are eating clean you may be still eating too much? Keep loving yourself :hugs:

Today is the one year anniversary since I decided to try something new for how I was eating - using a daily calorie limit to retrain myself as to what normal portion sizes were.  I joined Myfitnesspal.com on this date, as of just today's weight (not my averaged weight which is a bit higher) I've lost 79 lbs. during this past year.

I'd say it was a great decision!
