A small piece of pear strudel.  One of our clients sent 2 boxes to us, which each had 3 strudels in them; pear, apple and peach.  Nearly all gone now lol.
That sounds interesting. I've only ever had apple strudel.

Mint and chocolate! Orange and chocolate. 2 of my favourites.
Battenberg cake.
If I want it I have to make it. They don't make it here. Such a shame.
The call a plain cake with a few sultanas in an 'English' cake for goodness sake. When I think of the rich fruit cakes my mum used to make! Now that was an English cake.
When my daughter was born we were in the middle of a war. My mum came from England to be with me for 2 months. Not because of the war but because of the baby. She did that with my son too AND my MiL, who I'd never met, turned up as well. That was for my first one. Really. My first baby. I wanted MY mum.
Any case back to English cake. My mum made one and brought it with her! One day my then husband's manager came to see me and joanna and to see how Charles was. Mum gave him a slice of the cake. He'd never seen a rich fruit cake before and I told him that that was how an English cake looked.
If I got married again, so not going to happen, that's the wedding cake I'd like with marzipan and hard sugar icing.

A handful of red and green m&ms leftover from my baking. I couldn't let them go to waste!! Hee hee.
A woman after my own heart!

A handful of Hershey's kisses, largely for the same reason....they were leftover after making kiss cookies and I didn't want them to go to waste (waist???)
