It's out to drive us crazy!
It's okay. I've wanted to be a lightsider since I started in participating in Secret Santa. I think this year, I can do it.
My package has arrived and been opened... yeah, what? I already stated I'm a firm Darksider. I posted about it in the "I got my gift" thread. My Santa is Alison Joy!
It looks like I have a small reprieve. I should, barring any emergencies, be able to ship tomorrow. Maybe. The Post Office closest to me (and yet not considered my 'home' post office) will NOT be pretty tomorrow. it's the main local hub. I do need to find my tape to close the box and then make one run for stuff tomorrow. I'm ready. Yup.

Well, I went to the post office today and your package is on the way! And guess what??!! It should be there before Christmas! I thought it would take longer but the gal behind the counter said it would be there in a couple of days.
I never did get a chance to make my yummy kettle corn but I hope you like what I got you.

I mailed my SS gift on Wednesday. Tracking info shows expected delivery... yesterday... however it doesn't look like it has left the state yet.

Trust me hun, I COMPLETELY understand! I sent my SS gift Nov. 30th and have no sweet clue where it is right now.

the post office is evil, I swear!! I mailed my package UPS- hint hint!! and was very reasonable (read: cheaper than USPS) and I KNOW it will get there when they told me it would :lol3:

I don't have a tracking number... actually that relieves me so I don't have to worry about it! :lol3: Still no sign of any packages for me!
I have to have a tracking number. I am crazy phobic about the post office losing stuff. I would ship UPS but I never feel like driving that far lol.
I have a question... I know usually we all wrap the presents and do a bunch of small ones, but life got in the way this year. Would I be a bad SS if I ordered a few bigger items and shipped straight from amazon? I dont think it will get there in time if I do the shopping here, wrap, and send

I couldn't wrap mine as they wouldn't fir in the packagng,I too felt bad but ts the thought that counts I think and I know you like me have put a lot of thought into what you have bought.x
I was also kind of debating on sending a few things from amazon, and then a smaller package with the kitty toys, but I dont think I would be able to get it out before Christmas . I never send things late... grrr.... stupid life and getting in the way of fun things

Well, my SS has received her gift! I hope she likes everything I sent -- and, of course, I hope the kitties approve as well!
This year was kind of difficult. I had a lot of health issues that stood in the way of my spending my time the way I would have liked. Being in the ICU really gets in the way of things! But, I did put thought into what I purchased for my SS and it made it to her house in time. So, I think that has to count for something, right?! I just feel guilty for not doing more and for not being as devious as I'd originally planned...
Gee, I am depressed today. I don't know why I am feeling so down and out. I guess I just feel shameful about not being able to do more for others.
Anyway, enough of my whining. No gifts received her for me just yet. I've been anxiously waiting for my package to arrive from my Secret Santa. I'm a total dark-sider, but I'm thinking my SS wants me to be a light-sider this year. I guess I'll be waiting for the postman tomorrow as well -- he he! It's a good thing I'll be working almost every day this week. 'Cause, if not, there's no doubt I'd be sitting in front of the window waiting for a package. Ooh suspense...so much fun...

I shipped mine the other day. I can't wait to see if my Santee likes their gifts!! I had several bad health issues so I was rather disappointed at not being able to really go wild, but I hope all goes over well.
