Well I'm guessing she bought the food so that people with cats who aren't aware of the recall won't go into the store and buy the food and poison their cats. That is quite nice of her to do although I'd have just put out signs in front of the store that explain the situation. The newspaper thing was also a good idea.Originally Posted by lovinmom828
WOW tht is alot of money to spend on food that she can't use now. WOW
I agree! And she could have just insisted the store pull the tainted food rather than buying it! And if they wouldn't, well there's always the local press to force the issue!Originally Posted by neetanddave
You could spay and neuter a LOT of cats with a grand. Better use of the money, IMO.
I agree.... I was really surprised but it shows she really cares and is very proactive..Originally Posted by LokisMum

I agree, there are far more 'free' options she had for stopping people buying the food (and my walmart pulled it all)Originally Posted by sarahp
I think that seems a little silly. I'd be strongly advocating the store to stop selling the cans instead. I mean they're probably just going to go and buy more...
I would donate the money instead to people who's kitties are getting sick from this and can't afford treatment...
