I need to know if the only treatment for tapeworms is giving your cats $10 worth of pills that they won`t take? Is there no liquid med that can be administered with an eye dropper....or better yet A SHOT?
If I find out there is an easier way to worm a cat than with pills....I think I am going to shoot him at sunrise, which is less than 2 hours away! (Shoot the VET...not the cat!)
I DID READ "HOW TO PILL YOUR CAT" on here in the health section....AFTER trying to pill the first cat.(I have to do all 3 of the cats!)
What I have finally done is to crush the wet pills (from 3 different attempts to pill the cat) and add them to a little bit of wet cat food, which the cat would NOT eat. I wrapped it and stuck it in the friDge overnight, hoping that the cat might be hungry enough by morning to eat it. (Took thier dry food and put it away for the night so they`d be ready to eat , which they are now)......but what did the article on pilling your cat mean when it said something about the pills having a coating and without it the meds could make your cat FOAM???Shall I try to give the medicated food to the cat or not? And I hate to waste the other pills for the other cats if there is an easier way (Shots) to get them wormed...don`t even know if my vet would give me back the $20 for the other 2 cats.
FRUSTRATING!!!!!!
