As I started to drift off to sleep last night, I thought of this thread (and about cats), and thought what about making an "aspic" for cats?
Aspics are "jello" or gelatin based molds that are not sweetened, but rather based around bone/cartilage based stocks and meat. Think meat jelly.
I bet my Desmond would love such a treat. A good way to get connective tissue (gelatin) into the diet and would be very hydrating.
I was so taken with this "Eureka moment" that I had to get out of bed and then wind down (by listening to a recording of Bruno Walter conducting Mahler's 2nd Symphony), but making "cat aspics" has been planted in my mind as something to try.
This could be good.
