Someone inadvertently was going to slam a door in my face and I stopped it with my hand. It hurts sooooo much! It's the 3rd day today and the pain lessened but I have work to do so I must push through it and hope the day ends soon
@Columbine Thank youuuu. It's getting better as the days progress and I was given stronger pain meds that actually worked!
Noooo... as much as we like having you here, do take care of your health! If it's Repetitive Strain Injury (as Google let me know
) I got that too a long time ago so I know how it feels like, do take care of it, you don't want it to go up into your shoulder, I sometimes can't even hold my smartphone for more than 20-30 seconds on bad days because of the strain.
Current state: Worried about Columbine's future health:
Henry came out of his room last night!! he has been lurking and he saw DD near the door. She crouched down and put her hand out. He came out for pets. I think it took him a minute to realize he wasn't in his room and he panicked for a second and ran back in. He came back out though for more pets. There was a container of treats nearby and she gave him some. This got Lilith's attention and she went over to investigate. Then she chased him back in his room. Divas.
He did come right back out again and this time she didn't react. She's the alpha cat in our house and she knows it. She's quite bossy when she wants to be but she'd better be careful. He's gaining confidence all the time and he's a lot bigger and stronger than she is. The good thing is that they are friends and he has a very laid back personality. She befriended him right away and spends quite a bit of time in his room with him. Hopefully, they stay that way. Sophie has just started to be friendly to him. There was never any aggression, she just kind of ignored him. Now she'll go in his room in the morning and give him a head butt.
Anyway, he came out a few times more to look around. He didn't stay long but he's really curious about everything. We gave him lots of praise and DD gave him plenty of pets and treats. We'll just keep on letting him set the pace on what he wants to do. He'll probably always gravitate to that room since his things are in there but he's making great progress and I am very proud of him.
best describes my mood today. We've got a 10-11-week-old orphaned kitten at the shelter who's very tiny for his age, but has put up a good fight. Kobold was so congested and sneezing this morning that he had to be rushed to the vet's office. At least she didn't have to keep him there, and his appetite is pretty good.
. Probably just because it's a very rainy Thursday, but I keep thinking of the cats at home. Snuggled down in the blankets on the bed. And how much I'd like to be with them right now. Cuddled in close, nice and toasty. And just
