My dad was a college professor, so some summers he wouldn't teach summer school and we'd hit the road in the car with lots of camping gear.
We lived in IL, but camped out to both the West Coast and East Coast.
Because of them and travels with Gary for 10 years in the RV, the more major "landmark" places I've been include (I'm sure I'm forgetting some):
Painted canyons in North Dakota
Mt. Rushmore
Glacier National Park
Yellowstone National Park
The Grand Tetons
The Grand Canyon (went down on mules and spent the night at the bottom!)
Hoover Dam
Four Corners
Zuni Indian Caves in NM
The meteor crater in AZ
Gettysburg
Philadelphia
Washington DC
And because of all that camping and the living in the RV for 10 years, the only states I haven't actually been to are Hawaii, Alaska, Oklahoma and New Hampshire.
And you?
