I'm 5'6" and my husband is 5'10", so we've got about a 4 inch difference.

You're so right Susan. A Greek student who was equally as small as me once told me that in Greece they say that the most exquisite perfume comes in the smallest bottlesOriginally Posted by rosiemac

Just out of curiousity, is Kirby your SO's first or last name? I ask b/c my Patrick's last name is Kirby, and I don't hear it too often. Most of his friends call him Kirby, so I didn't know if it was the same for you!Originally Posted by eatrawfish
I am one of the taller women in my family at 5 feet 2 inches.
Kirby towers over EVERYONE in my family at 6 feet 2 inches.
He gets all the tops shelves.
My Kirby is a John Kirby. At one point he worked in an office with three other John's and thus became dubbed Kirby.Originally Posted by AshleyNicole

I bet they were! Do you know what part he was from? Patrick's family knows, they've done a pretty good family geneology (well, his parents did anyways). Patricks dad doesn't look irish to me at all (neither do his uncles, etc) but Patrick himself sure does! He's got the curly reddish hair (his beard is esp red for some reason, his hair is more brown with red) and the beautiful green/gold eyes. Hopefully we'll get to go visit sometime....Originally Posted by eatrawfish

Furthermore, I refuse to be part of a John and Sara.
The only time it's confusing is with his family, his father is also a John Kirby.
It seems possible that within the last couple hundred years your Kirby and my Kirby are from the same part of Ireland?
