Well if your going to start with classical music, Id have to say Mozart and Chopin. I used to play the cello, and there are some great pieces out there for it.

Peace,
Brandon

Just caught up with this thread. Way to go TTMom - James Brown is bril! - your son has good musical taste! Have no fav band but as far as singers go - Leonard Cohen is the only name to mention!

One of my favorite bands would have to be H.I.M. I also like a lot of 80's music, I like loverboy and The Stray Cats (sexy and 17 is awesome) and I like Billy Idol..to many to remember them all!

ccdogmuffin.. Yeah, I don't even know how I ended up listening to them.. something like 1998 I turned into a huge cof fan.. The thing is I know they are not even the best black metal band but it seems like they were the breakthrough band for their genre and I so have to respect that.. But I'm more of a top 40 girl usually so when I tell people I like cof they are just like "um.. what?" I swear mom was ready to cart me to the looney bin when she first heard them..

U2!
That's right, I'm another dedicated fan of U2!
I have been a fan of them since their early stuff!
You really can't compare other bands to U2 because they are in a class by themselves.
