It was a red wine colored Chrysler LeBaron. I don't know the year. I liked it, it had a digital speedometer. After that I got a white Dodge Spirit, that was nice too. I don't have a car now.

DH and I tend to pass cars to each other. Usually I drive the newer car around; especially since I have the kids with me.

After my Buick and Neon I drove DH's '00 Echo. The gas mileage on that thing was great. We did so many road trips in it comfortably. We bought a 05/06 Nissan Sentra after that. I commuted in that car until DD was born. When DS was on the way we traded the Echo for my Subaru Outback. When it was time to trade the Sentra in I told DH he couldn't have my Outback. It's mine! He has a '15 Nissan Pathfinder now and it's nice; but I do love that Outback. He needed something to tow our kayak trailer anyway. ;)

I love the look of some of the newer muscle cars; but I don't know that I'll ever actually get one. My Dad still has 3 classic muscle cars and my Step-dad still gets that gleam in his eye when he talks about his '69 Camaro that he rebuilt himself. I guess they rubbed off a bit. But I'm not allowed to like Fords. Especially not Mustangs. :flail:

I don't remember the year of it, although I still have the bill of sale somewhere, but it was a Pontiac T1000 that looked similar to this -

I had a '96 Ford Escort Station Wagon. It was red and had "666" on the license plate number, which, contrasting the D.A.R.E. bumper stickers made a very "cool" car to drive in high school/ college. It was the family car, we'd had it since 96 and it lasted until right before I moved to Chicago for grad school in 2011. I drove it for about 7 years and it finally died in a drive-in stall at Sonic's. It had been on it's last legs for years. It used to overheat so I'd have to have the heater on even in the middle of summer to draw the heat from the engine.
It looked like this:

A 1966 VW. I loved it to pieces of course, because it was my first car. :)

When as 14-15-16 year olds living in the bush used to save all our pocket and lunch money and go down to the wrecking yard and buy a car that was still working and spend the next few weeks roaring around the bush until the cars wouldn't go no more.
We had a V dub that we used to drive flat out into a dam..it would belly flop and skip out the other side with a bunch of hysterically laughing kids hanging out the windows. Those were fun days.

First car was a 1996 Mercedes Benz C Class, got it from my uncle second as a second hand. The next one was a Mazda 2 that I've owned for nearly 10 years, still going good.

Since I didn't drive a car until I was in my mid twenties and was married it is an easy question. My first car (after my husband talked me into selling my motorcycle) was a new (don't recall the year though) burgundy Monte Carlo. We have had to many cars to remember in the almost 43 years we have been married but I have a couple of favorites - a Cadillac Seville that was an anniversary gift and believe it or not a Pontiac Vibe. The Vibe I picked out all the equipment on my own as well as the color. Had over a 100,000 miles when the transmission went on it. I now have a Forrester, which I like almost as well - but it isn't red (my favorite car color!).

Ford Maverick. I forget the year. Maybe 1979?
I loved it. Drove it for a very long time until it needed too much work. Donated it, and cried when I dropped it off. Later I saw someone driving it (I was confident it was mine because mine had a lot of rust and this one was covered in bondo. I was happy to see someone fixing it up).

I drove the extra family car when I got my license. It was a 1995 Mercury Sable. I crashed it on Christmas Eve 2009 (the day after my dog died, so it was a terrible Christmas). My sister and I called it The Green Monster and also Jorge Jerome Fiddlesticks. The first car I actually bought myself was a 2001 Dodge Caravan. It was a piece of crap, but I did love it. I had so many bumper stickers on it. I named that car Darwin Mendel (after Charles Darwin and Gregor Mendel). My friends referred to it as the Boob Mobile though. (Boob is actually my nickname, yes I know that is weird.)

My first car was a 1996 Saturn LS in black gold that was my dad's. He passed it on to me when he got a new car. It finally kept dying after years, so I bought a 2007 Saturn Aura - it was nearly brand new, but it had been used in a driver's ed class or something and had a couple thousand miles on it , so I got a discount. It was silver and I loved it, but I totaled it in the summer of 2015. They didn't make Saturns anymore by then, so I went to CarMax and ended up with a 2012 Chevy Cruze Eco in white. I hate the color, but the upgrade was that it has rear sensors (no camera, but they do beep), which has helped me out a lot. It should be paid off this summer.

I forgot to mention cars I had after my Impala

1970 Chevy Nova. It was a rust bucket on its last leg when I bought it.
1975 AMC Pacer. Odd looking and acting car but it lasted
1983 Chevy Chevette. My first brand new car and a lemon from day one. Took it across county on vacation when it was six weeks old and ended up having to leave it and come home by Greyhound bus. Eventually Chevrolet had to buy it back under states lemon law
1984 Nissan Sentra. Good car but people kept smashing into it. After third accident in 12 month, including last two within 24 hours of each other, I received enough from the other insurance companies to replace it.
1987 Saturn. Great car, long lasting
1997 Toyota Corolla. Another great car
2006 Toyota Matrix. Now my sons beater car. 190000 miles on it, still running without any major repairs.
2018 HRV. Good car so far

My first was a ‘68 Buick Skylark convertible. It was my dad’s car that he “loaned” me during my senior year of college—and let me keep when I graduated in the mid ‘70s. I loved it! A convertible!

Dad was a car nut, and he passed the “must have a new car” gene on to both my brother and me. Here are mine over the years. I can’t remember the years for all of them. (The absolute worst one was the Camaro. I loved the way it looked, but it was a total lemon.)

‘68 Buick Skylark
‘76 Camaro
Mazda GLC
Datsun 310
Mazda 626
Honda Accord (sedan)
Honda Accord (station wagon)
‘98 Subaru Forester
‘02 Lexus RX
‘05 Lexus RX
‘08 Toyota RAV
‘11 BMW X3
‘14 Acura RDX
‘18 BMW X1

After my dad died in 2008, my brother and I found this list of cars he’d made starting with a 1930 Model A. Although the list stops in 1992, he owned at least six more Lexuses after that.
