What language did you take in high school?

I had four years of German in high school, and three of Spanish. Six of German in college, counting graduate school stuff like "Mittelhochdeutsch", and four of Spanish. I've lost almost all of my "active" command of Spanish after all these years, though.

I took French. I wanted to take Spanish or Latin but the classes were full and my mother was disapproving, so I took French. Guess I kinda cheated since I already spoke it but oh well.

I took French. I love the French language. I wish I was better at speaking it! I still remember quite a bit - helped by a few trips to Paris and Montreal.
