Perhaps when I'm this sugar-high I should be on a dog forum, for your safety.

What makes a torbie or tortie???
I still think it's a people-eater. If you say no, I'll know it's a conspiracy.Originally Posted by Rhiannon

Good!!! Now, still holding your hand...what kind of patches does the pictured kitty have and what kind of markings???Originally Posted by Rhiannon
Um... fur patches. Black and red patches, or blue and cream patches, or brown and lilac patches....
Haven't said if it's a tortie OR a torbie - I have said the one of the first answers was correct BUT to get the 200 points I want both definitionsOriginally Posted by Pookie-poo
A tortie doesn't have tabby stripes, a torbie does. Don't look at the tabby stripes in the red, as torties seem to have those to a small degree (at least my calico does.) This beautiful girl seems to have at least some tabby in her because of the "M" on her forehead, but I don't see much tabby markings in the rest of her colors. Based on that, I'd say she was a tortie. Waffling here, I know. Now, as to her color....she has a lot of red in her.....maybe a cinnamon tortie with white. This is harder than I expected!
