You're so good! Thank you for the encouragement!

That's why we are here to help motivate you!! It helps to have me and my neighbor doing it together, cuz we have to account to eachother, though sometimes she does hold me back some, but doing anything is better than nothing so I can't complain too much.Originally Posted by icklemiss21
same here and I have been especially lacking in motivation lately
I really like the whole wheat pasta! I've had it at Olive Garden a couple of times. My next venture is to try some of the ground chicken and ground turkey after Thur, cuz DH won't eat wierd stuff but he's getting all his top teeth pulled Thur,Originally Posted by twstychik
Well, we had whole wheat pasta and I couldn't tell the difference really. We aslo bought a whole bunch of fresh fruit... yummy! Much better than toast and nutella when I want sugar. LOL Only did exercise twice last week but the weather is supposed to be good this week so hopefully we'll make it out a few times on the bikes. Aside from that doing well. Although I'm a little concerned. My wedding dress is a perfect fit right now and it's in to be bustled which means once it's back it'll be too late for other alterations I think so if I lose too much it might be too big. My silver lining is that I know my chest won't get smaller till the very end (if at all) so at least I'll still have that to hold it up. LOL
Hay!! Cutting back ANY is better than none, and it has to be forever! Not just for today, tomorrow or yesterday. So, you are making good headway!Originally Posted by icklemiss21
We are having a semi treat tonight... whole wheat pasta noodles with lean ground turkey in a sundried tomato and red pepper and mascarpone sauce. I tried it at work a few weeks ago and its delicious but oh so bad for you so I found low fat mascarpone (that counts as being good doesn't it!)
Do you know if that Greek Yogurt is made from anything Goat? My DH is allergic to feta and all goat products!Originally Posted by CatsAreBetter
I count low fat as good, because.. I've tried fat free, and the consistency is such in most fat free cheeses/dairy products that you're far more likely to stick to a recipe that uses low fat dairy than you are fat free. And that's a pretty significant calorie slash.
Just as an FYI in general.. a suggestion was made at our last WW meeting that instead of sourcream, you can try using low fat Greek yogurt, which has a very similar taste, and is very creamy. I may try this if I do a beef stroganoff, or something.
Thanks Heather!!! That helps a lot. I may have to check it out and see if we can substitute that for our sour cream!Originally Posted by CatsAreBetter
Erm, let me see if it says on the batch my sister has in the fridge...the kind we have says grade a pastuerized milk and cream. Nothing about whether it's cow or milk, but there's a website.. http://www.fageusa.com/products.html
Okay, on the website it says cow's milk. They do have feta, though, and that's made with goat.
If you have the exact numbers I can give you the points to 2 decimal places! LOLOriginally Posted by CatsAreBetter
For those of you counting points and doing it the WW way... I found a whole wheat bread.. might be whole grain.. Anyway, it's Nature's Own, double fiber.. when I calculated it earlier it came out to zero points per slice.. it might actually be 1.. I counted five for fiber instead of four.. now that I think about it. I'll have to recalculate that.
Thomas' light multi-grain muffins are one point per muffin..
That doesn't sound bad at all, though I would probably make broccoli instead as we both love it and we would steam it all the way through. He can eat that!Originally Posted by twstychik

Jill, If your wanting to try new stuff and hubby is stuck on soft foods you could try a turkey meat loaf with mashed cauliflower (instead of potatoes)?
I did some goos yoga yesterday (I taped a bunch of Inhale episodes) and I feel great today... I slept like a champ last night. It feels so good to be doing something again.
Yeah, he's been in a lot of pain for quite a while and it's just been getting worse... Today he says they feel wierd!! Whatever that means! But... He'll be so much better off afterwards!Originally Posted by kluchetta
Jill, I use ground turkey for things like taco meat - you just add the taco seasoning and can't tell the difference. It's a little harder with meatloaf. I find that it's kinda dry for meatloaf.
I'm sorry your DH has to have all his teeth pulled out. He must be quite in some pain, so I guess it will give him some relief?
