It's going to be 50's and 60's here for the next 10 days or so, low in the evening of 20's. Balmy for Colorado.
More good news...the black cat chose to walk in when I opened the door about 3 days ago in the late evening. It was 5 degrees, he came to eat and I opened the door and that was that. This is the second time he's been in, and I won't make the mistake of letting him out again. I don't trust that the weather won't get bad again, April is a very cold and snowy month here.
He's doing great, he lets me pick him up and play and everything, he was previously neutered in January when I got him in the first time. The female and him had a very happy reunion and they get along great. The female is scheduled for next week for spaying.
She is very happy and wants nothing to do with going out, and is very attached to me already. The black one is crying at night to go out, but is fine during the day and just rests and plays. Not to say he wouldn't go out in the day if I let him out, but he does not actively cry and seek to go out during the day. He's keeping me up with his cries at night. Does anyone know why it is more insistent at night, and is there a reasonable chance he might want to stay in permanently? I will have to deal with whether or not he will go back out, but I have month or so to decide. I'm fine with him going out and wandering, but don't want him to be running from me anymore when the winter comes in case it gets bad. He is loving being with the girl kitty but he still wants to go out.
Any suggestions or thoughts on why the evening is the time he wants to go out most badly? Feline03, hoping you will check in soon to tell us about Blackie.
Spring is almost here!! Can't wait.
