Gary is SO happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's the little things in life.

I enter pics into contests never expecting to win. I just have fun picking the picture, you know? The "mistake" I made this time was involving Gary in the decision. Once we voted for her, he was constantly wanting to check in to see how she was doing. :lol3:

IMO, they are ALL winners, because they're all beautiful pampered kitties living the good life, enjoying the sunshine!

Did anyone else see Flowerbelle on the TCS homepage because she won the contest? That is awesome! I was going to suggest to Laurie she should change her avatar for one month before I saw that.

Facebook seems to be messing around with page visibility, probably because they want to get page owners to pay money to push updates into people's feed

Here's what you can do to make sure you see a page's updates:

1. Find a page you’ve “liked.”

2. Hover you mouse over the “Liked” button for the drop down menu (or click it if hovering doesn't work).

3. In the drop down menu, confirm “Show in News Feed” is selected.

No one knows for sure how Facebook's algorithm works, but this should cause more page updates to show up in your feed. I think that the more you interact with a page, by commenting, liking and sharing, the more likely are that page's posts to show up in your feed.

We have monthly contests, and they're almost always held on the last week of the month, so yes, by the time Kitty Bytes is issued, we usually mention last month's winners.

There's a pretty awesome prize too! All you need to do in order to participate is submit a picture of your litterbox or cat in the litterbox. Voting will commence in a few days.

Two good ways to keep tabs on contests:

1. Visit the site regularly - we post site announcements on contests at the top of the page on every page.

2. Like our Facebook fan page and tweak the settings to see all messages.
